Title: Clipping New Iguana

As some of you know, I just got a little green iguana. I've started holding him a lot and he's gotten pretty tame. I wanted to go ahead and start clipping his claws to get him used to it so he want be inpossible when he's bigger. Also those little claws can hurt! But I don't know how to get him calmed down. It is always a struggle. How do you guys do it?

I would just work on trying to get him more comfortable with handling first. Once he can calmly be held, start by only clipping one or two nails a day. It won't stress him out so much, and you won't have to try to keep him still for too long.

Good Luck!

Thanks. :) I thought I'd get him used to it now but I guess it can wait a few months until he's used to me.
