Title: Anna And Angelo

Heather - December 3, 2004 10:19 AM (GMT)
Here are Anna and Angelo, as promised. :) This is a close up of Angelo. You can't see it in this photo, but when he was with his previous owners he suffered from a serious case of MBD (metabolic bone disease) and his back is deformed in the shape of a roller coaster. He's fine now and a happy pig. ;) Just goes to show you the importance of a good diet and UVB light.

awesome igs! what kind of cage do you have them in? i'm thinking about getting abig cage for my little one that he can live in forever. did you make it yourself? how big is anna? they look a lot different than that when they are babies. do any of them bite? my little one does now, i'd hate to know what it's like if they bite when theyre bigger.

Thanks Griff. :D The cage is a rolling cage made out of plastic coated wire shelving units available at Home Depot. It's on wheels and easy to move around (I roll it outside for the warm summers and inside for winter). It's relatively simple to and inexpensive to build, so when that time comes around and you need a big cage I'll show you how to build one if you want!

Neither Anna nor Angelo bites. They're great with kids and other pets as well since I've used them in herp 'shows' for kids. It's funny how when they are babies, they all look very similar (because they need to blend in for survival) but then when they are older they change and are easy to distinguish from one another. Anna's about 4 ft long, Angelo is about 2 1/2 ft. They were both stunted a good bit.

Very nice pix! Thanks for sharing them with us.I love to surf the net looking for good ones, though I am partial to Cyclura now.I used to raise and breed greens but iggys are so much work I thought I'd go more expensive and longer lived.
See me later!..... :D :cool pics:
