Clar de Luna Academy isn't your typical boarding school. By day, it appears to be just an old, lonely castle in the mountains, deserted and probably the home to many ghosts. Even the name, Clar De Lună meaning moonlight in Romanian, adds to its mystery. However, as soon as night falls and the moon rises, the students roll out of their beds to attend their lessons. Unbeknowst to normal mortals who are only useful to their own kind, the academy, one of three ((Lumina Zilei and Constelatie are the other two academies)) and possibly the most prestigious, is where many students, gifted with supernatural abilities, can learn with one another. All throughout history, these beings were destroying each other for the simple reason that they were different. Sure, the disagreements and bitterness still exist, but those who are willing to forget the old ways, put them aside for the greater good, have learned to live somewhat peacefully with one another at Clar De Lună.
However, many elders, those who most believe should have been dust by now, are still set in their ways and oppose the Academy and anything like it. They think the A Fierbe, the founder of Clar De Lună and it's headmaster, is mad to believe he can ever get so many powerful beings to coexist and get along with each other. They believe the school is a bomb waiting to go off and bound to destroy their life as they know it. There is also the fact that the A Fierbe's identity is unknown to even the students that attend his school. This bothers the elders, not knowing who is fueling the war and destruction they believe the school will bring. The only thing that anyone can guess about the Headmaster is that he has to be a Hellion. After all, who else would he be willing to shove so many beings together? It's a certain making for chaos.
The students don't seem to put nearly as much thought into it as others do. Most of them enjoy being given the oppotunity to hang out with those of their own kind in that type of environment and, in a fair few cases, torment those different than them. Clar De Lună may be a place where powerful beings can exist together, however this doesn't mean they all get along. Most of the races and species have internal and external conflicts with each other that are decades old, making it impossible for everyone to get along, but in any school isn't that expected?
