Bear in mind that this is still an unconfirmed rumor.

According to this rumor James E. Reily will rip off his own storyline from Days of Our Lives with Ethan Martin's early death later this summer. As Theresa learns (in Rome) that Ethan is her son's biological father, Ethan Martin will be struck and killed by a drunk driver in Harmony.
The twist is that the driver who strikes Ethan Martin will be none other then T.C. Russell, Whitney's father. Who may or may not perish in the accident himself (as it is rumored he flatflines in the emergency room at Harmony Hospital).
At first the identity of the individual who killed Ethan Martin is not known to the characters as Theresa will swear vengence against the individual responsible for murdering her son. When the character's identity is revealed Whitney will be torn between her family and her friendship with Theresa as Theresa uses her Crane clout to make sure that her son's murderer is brought to justice.

That would be a great storyline, however I think that theresa saw what happened to her family when Sarah died & I honestly don't think she'd do the same to Whitney & her family but then again Theresa has changed so much in the last year so who know's.

I would hope if anything it bring's them closer than push them apart more. Whitney has been there for Theresa from day one & hasn't turned herback on her yet but t has(imo) turned her back on whitney in order to get ethan w/ the help of freakboy(lapse in judgement on her part).

yeah, i thought up this scenario, from just the predictions ab what was meant by tc following in eve's footsteps. i think it's highly plausible. it would be CRAZY GOOD to watch. esp to see how whitney handles it.

idk what side she should choose, or if she should even have to, not until i watch how it plays out. but its not like whitresa hasnt been playing near the rocks of friendship over the past year or so. this would be the icing on the cake.

I think this storyline could be good on several levels. One, it actually seems like a real soap storyline. Too bad he did it on Days already (guess he's hunting for Emmy's this year).

I would LOVE to see Brook be torn, and with that position be able to point some things out. I'm sure there are some who could see this as turnabout for Theresa's hand in Sarah's death (or what they see as her part). It would prove that chud is probably incapable of true compassion, cause I can see him with his disdain for TC taking T's side and not considering that TC is Whitney's father first and foremost, and that he's been a damn good one minus a few lapses in judgement. Hopefully, this could also bring WHITNEY AND SIMONE TOGETHER.

The downside, any Whitresa arguement will end in BK eating LH alive (yeah, I said it). LH tends to be over the top with the truly emotional stuff IMO, and I'm not sure I want to sit through all of that. But I would for Brook.

it would definately cause tension between Lopez-Fitzgeralds and the Russells. As for Theresa and Whitney, it could either bring them closer or tear them apart, I don't see a in-between with that situation.

I don't think this means the death of Whitresa friendship at least I hope not. Their relationship is one of the few good things still left on the show. JERk better not destroy that. I would like to think this storyline could be good, but another storyline involving another couple had tons of potential and look how that turned out.

from the looks of the spoilers, it looks like this scenario indeed does not go down. but it would have been interesting.

I'm glad that didn't happen. For one, I don't think that Lil Ethan should die as soon as Theresa finds out he's her and Ethan's son. I do however, don't think that Ethan is going to leave Gwen over this. I think he will stay in his marriage and Theresa will finally have her dreams completely crushed that Ethan won't leave his marriage for any of the reasons Theresa would think. Then the guy that is going to sweep her off her feet is starting on July 21st and then I see Ethan and Gwen's marriage falling apart on it's own and some jealousy from Ethan about Theresa's new man in her life.

Most of us have said, if T would leave them alone, Ethan and Gwen would fall apart all on their own. IMO Ethan and Gwen fight so hard to stay in the marriage because it's the best defintion of that they have a marriage is Theresa fighting to end it.

Well, I think that when the show finally ends, Theresa and Ethan would be together just to prove that FATE can happen. But I think Jared will show Theresa you can love someone else though deep in your core, you someone else totally has your heart.

What I would love to see is that Foxney and ET both get married on the last eppy in a double wedding with Justin as Fox IF we don't have a great recast by that point BUT I don't see that happening. Also, if the show doesn't make major improvements like JER SAYS he's about to put back focus on, I want Brook to RUN LIKE THE WIND out of this crap. Incest nastiness was bad enough. Even though now they are still de-sibbed, I'm still TOTALLY DISGUSTED by Ickney near, on, touching, kissing, or sexing each other.
