He is actually dead. He has been put in the morgue and Whitney says goodbye to him.

In TvGuide Reilly said two major characters really die (one on August 28 and the other on September 7).

Charles is gone anyways and the character will not be recasted.

it all just seems too good to be true. the character we all loathe is really dead after just one gunshot, and our girl gets to leave in a manner befitting her greatness and longevity? somebody pinch me.

I really can't blame Whitney for leaving Harmony. Who knows what Alistair would do to her, his grandson, and his unborn grandchild after killing his own son. The Old Man has really destroyed the girl's life.

i don't blame her either, i just find it too fortunate that it's happening the way it should. nothing ever happens on this show like that. big al has not only destroyed her life, he's done it over and over, constantly adding salt to the wound.

Yeah, I think it's just not going to sink in for a while. We've been screwed...WHITNEY has been screwed for so long (including today's pyschobable about chud being the only man she ever loved and all that nonsense) that...I don't know how to deal with anything decent happening to her. Things I wished for three years ago.
