I would assume that since the show has been greenlighted past the pilot episode (meaning she's signing a contract), I would almost gurantee that she's out. I'm not sure HBO will let her do Passions honestly. And if one has to choose the lowest rated soap on TV or an HBO series, I don't think that's a choice.

I hope she is gone.

Recurring, for what? That means she'll be background, which she's been before...while on contract. I don't understand how that benefits Brook at this point. Passions just wants to hang onto her so that WHEN she blows up, they can act like they had something to do with it. Nevermind that they never wrote for her, even though she's one of if not the best younger actress they had during their 7 year run.

No, she needs to break free from the show. It's time Brook. You've let Passions hold your career hostage long enough. No risk, no reward dear. This is HBO. Frankly, you owe Passions no more than you've given them. Especially if they're just gonna bring Whitney back randomly and make her one dimensional.

As for Brook, I can see her accepting a recurring role. I beleive she likes it and wants to stay for a minimal role as she can focus on True Blood.

same here john. i can see her not wanting to give it up. she's stayed on the show this long, that tells me she's pretty damn loyal to the character she created, despite the fact that the writing has turned to crap. and i'm not really ready yet to say goodbye to whitney, to be honest. she could so do both for awhile.

charles maybe gone but dud is still there. recasted dud is still a gay guy that cheated on her but that will be whitewashed, so I'd like her to cut ties and move on.

I just don't know if there's anything else they can do with Whitney. I think as long as JER is writing the show, she's backed into the corner. And while I get the Brook is loyal and loves the character, I don't think it's wrong to just cut ties at this point. Passions is a safety net, it's just one she likes. I think once she's working on True Blood and then goes back to whatever this show is, it's going to become obvious more so than it's ever been.

And I'd assume they're recasting Dud, which means that in all likely hood, she'd still end up with dud, and we'd be expected to overlook the whole "he paid for a son that's not his and he's gay" thing. I love Whitney, but not what she's become (I see the old Whitney making a comeback, but considering what's gone down to get her to this point...). It's the idea of seeing Brook everyday that's more appealing to me at this point. I've missed that since I don't watch the show much anymore, more than I thought actually. Now with True Blood, it's not a decision between watching a barely recognizable character just to see my girl, or not stomaching Whitney and just reading what I can to stay abreast on Brook. I just think by Tara's description, she SCREAMS "breakout" character, and that can only lead to bigger things. She can love Passions and leave it at the same time.

If they don't recast chad right away & Fox is suppose to get a new love. I wonder if this is connected. Or Fox new love is going to be Polama.
