Title: Whit's Daily Rants (and Raves)
whitbrookfan4life - September 11, 2006 04:38 AM (GMT)
i'll take raves out of quotes when whit starts being herself again.
um, i need an outlet. if i talk to myself in this thread, since most of yall don't watch, then so be it. but i need to get this out. even this nonsense needs to be chronicled.
ok, friday's eppy:
JUST when i thought it wasn't possible to dumb whit down anymore! now i'm supposed to believe she watches movies depicting exactly what she's going through and makes stupid comments?
all this devotion she has to chad is really sickening. she's so insecure. that's the only way he has her wrapped around his finger like he does. she was right when she first called him out on going into the office so late. then he lied some more, and she settled back into her loyal role. UGH.
and was she even wearing the ring?
the budget cuts are clearly no joke. i know that shirt was being recycled for the sod interview, but i didn't expect to see it on her again in an eppy. they prob got interviewed while filming that scene. ha.
at least one thing can be said, brook plays whit well, no matter what state she's in. i was looking at my tv screen like what has whit become?
Alicia Keys - September 11, 2006 04:59 AM (GMT)
lol, I sadly read the tranny for this episode. I didn't need to watch it and cause myself more pain. What they're doing to Whitney is some of the worst character assanination I've seen in all my soap viewing days. I KNOW she's insecure, but damn. There's not even a motivation behind it this time. At least with Fox, I thought, no I KNEW that she thought he was too good for her, or she wasn't good enough for him, however you want to say it. But I don't even get the sense with chud. She KNOWS she can do better, but I feel like she's settling. Part of it is comfort I guess. A LOT of it is obligation I'm betting. She feels they share a child together. She owes it to Miles to be gung ho about this family, especially since she's been such a "terrible" mother to him and all. Plus, I really think this is what she thinks she deserves. As far as she's concerned, she proved herself rigth where loving Fox was concerned by lying to him.
Really, it's all just one sad case of a ridiculously gorgeous, talented, head strong woman who lacks self esteem in every sense of the word, DESPITE the fact that she was the one doted upon. It would be awesome if they played this up, but this is Passions, and that would be considered an actual storyline, with actual acting. And we can't have that, now can we? We saw what happened the last time they let Brook act. She lost her mind and outshined most of the cast.
I agree with you though. I think Brook knows Whitney's motivations. She's truly got a grip on her character, so she can tap into whatever she needs to to play her. That's the beauty of studying and knowing your character (yes, I'm giving half the Passions cast the side eye since this statement doesn't apply to them). It allows you the freedom to play that character in many different ways. I pray that Whitney doesn't stay this naive and...stupid for long. I don't mind her insecurities, we all have them. But PLEASE help her see that she can do so much better.
whitbrookfan4life - September 11, 2006 06:53 AM (GMT)
aaand you summed up my feelings on the things i said. that's what i would have sounded like had i not actually watched the eppy and seen her in living, subservient color.
Zoe Saldana - September 12, 2006 05:40 AM (GMT)
'most of the cast'?? with the except of Liza, cause that's the ONLY actress that can hang with Brook (and she barely does, and I lobster love her) i feel as tho that statement is too nice.
i had to come and say that, i have nothing to say about this subject because i cannot expose myself to such heartache.
whitbrookfan4life - September 12, 2006 05:14 PM (GMT)
lol. don't expose, it's cool, i understand.
i don't even know where 'most of the cast' is used, or which one of you're referring to, and i'm too lazy to go find it. next time quote dear.
Zoe Saldana - September 12, 2006 10:59 PM (GMT)
you bum.

I was disgusted at her back to being Theresa's Romance Maiden....and STILL no scene of her going to see HER ILL FATHER :burn: :burn:
I did, however, get happy seeing the REAL Whitney in that 'vision' of Chud's -when she found out what a fool she's been.
I hope we get to see THAT Whitney soon.
whitbrookfan4life - September 16, 2006 04:28 PM (GMT)
that scene was SO great rik, ia. way too short tho. it was a tiny glimpse of her, but i savored it. she's coming back eventually, i know it.
at least most of her scenes friday weren't with him, i was grateful for the whitresa action. although she was just once again beating a dead horse with T. but her sarcasm, always fun to watch.
and not one, but TWO gorge outfits!! the one from the dream was cute, but the real one was even better. loved the necklace. the wardrobe department loves her, obviously.
i can't even get on whit not being with tc. but at least she mentioned eve had nj for the day; there's some contact bt them.
rikyrah - September 20, 2006 01:58 PM (GMT)
Enjoyed Monday's show because we got an inkling of the real Whitney again, when she suspected Dud was talking about cheating.
Oh Whitney, hurry up and find out!
Zoe Saldana - September 20, 2006 07:22 PM (GMT)
amen rik. counting down the day until that happens man
whitbrookfan4life - September 28, 2006 07:00 PM (GMT)
my girl is smart as hell. i don't care what anyone says.
she knew it was val right away!! she just had to bring herself out of denial. and immediately she put everything together. uuuuuuuuugh. so frustrating. i just want her to be rid of him.
nj is on tmw!!!!
WHY are they STILL trying to hide the fact that it's val. damn show is so contrived. the camera angles make chad look even more awkward than usual. UGH again.
Whitney7 - September 28, 2006 10:52 PM (GMT)
Because its not Valerie. Reilly is playing mind games.
whitbrookfan4life - September 28, 2006 11:31 PM (GMT)
i thought it had been confirmed it was val?
Whitney7 - September 28, 2006 11:54 PM (GMT)
Nope it hasn't. Nothing has been proven that it is Valerie is the mystery person at all. Look at today's show. Theres defintiely something going on with those two losers but Chad is definitely seeing someone else.
Also another example is tomorrow a mysterious shadow watches Chump & Whitney at the end and Valerie is in Ethidiot's office.
Zoe Saldana - September 29, 2006 02:04 AM (GMT)
SO I CAN STILL HAVE TROD!?!?! don't play with my emotions
whitbrookfan4life - September 29, 2006 04:45 AM (GMT)
seriously! this is too much. idk how i got it in my head that it was definitely val. damn. now i need to start paying attn again.
rikyrah - September 29, 2006 11:14 PM (GMT)
Whitney's actually vocalized her suspicions to Theresa this week...that was a big step for her. And, I'm glad that Theresa didn't make Whitney feel as if she were crazy.
Whitney - trust yourself. Trust yourself and dump that loser.
Alicia Keys - September 30, 2006 05:21 AM (GMT)
da HELL? So it's not Val? It could still be Tron? YES!!!!!!!!!!!11
whitbrookfan4life - September 30, 2006 07:24 AM (GMT)
looooooooooooved today. loved whit's new outfit. loved her suspicious looks.
most of all, LOVED NJ!
he mirrored his mommy's look when they first came in the room.
then, chad touches him.
he gives chad The Face. with a quizzical 'why are you touching me?' glint in his eye.
val touches him and coos baby talk.
he looks bored.
ethan touches him.
he laughs and starts grinning ear to ear!!
then we're treated with some humming, singing, and real babytalk.
THIS KID ROCKS!!! and he's growing so fast. sniff.
rikyrah - October 4, 2006 03:24 AM (GMT)
I'm totally thinking that Chad is on the DL.
I LOVED Whitney bringing up Latoya.
YEAH Whitney. He does have previous lying behavior.
Keep on trusting yourself, Whitney.
Keep on.
whitbrookfan4life - October 4, 2006 06:48 PM (GMT)
once AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
t is READY to fire val. like in a split second. i love her i love her i love her!
she's right, first she almost ruined t's life with the letter delivery, now there's a POSSIBILITY that she's trying to ruin whit's? i'm with you t, that's reason enough for a firing.
but of course, my whit has to be polite. damn her being fired without proof! who needs proof!?!
i just wanted her to say yes theresa! will you please get rid of her? can i write out the pink slip?
sigh. oh well.
whitbrookfan4life - October 13, 2006 04:55 AM (GMT)
a doll.
A DOLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it looked like an American Girl knockoff! with extra hair superglued on top of the hair the doll came with! and she wasn't matching! a red dress with pink kicks! EW! as fashion forward as whit is? you SUCK chad. at least we know now that whit definitely dresses nj.
a DOLL!
my heart bleeds for the sad state that my whit is in.
Alicia Keys - October 13, 2006 07:45 AM (GMT)
Um, everyone BUT chud dresses NJ. This is the fool who bought NJ clothes big enough to fit Little Ethan when he was all of 6 months, thinking they were "his size" I'm not surprised he has issues matching clothing. Amongst other things.
The more I read, the happier I am I didn't turn on my TV at 2 o'clock yesterday. I can't even stomach Whitney right now, and that's saying a lot. I can't even come up with anything plausible to account for her...idiocy at the moment. I know she's still mental, has been for years, but, damn. Even when she was insane (literally, should've been in a room with padded walls crazy) she had some good sense. Now, she's just...I dont' even know what.
rikyrah - October 14, 2006 02:54 AM (GMT)
While the doll was hard to take, look at it from Whitney's POV. She's literally - ' the drowning man trying to grasp at a straw'.
IF she finds out that Chad IS cheating, then it means that all of this mess would have been for NOTHING.
But, it's time for her to face reality.
When it DOES crash down on her, it's gonna be ugly.
Neccessary, but ugly.

basically.
Alicia Keys - October 14, 2006 05:59 AM (GMT)
Amen rikyrah. REAL ugly. But, Brook will turn in one hell of a performance. I'm not even sure how I want Whit to react. I'd say anger, but to me that shows that she cared in the first place. But she's invested too many years to be completely indifferent. At least not right away. Regardless, I know Brook will do the damn thing.
whitbrookfan4life - October 14, 2006 03:25 PM (GMT)
i agree with yall, but the thing is...I'M SICK OF WAITING. jer is torturing us with this bs. i want the breakdown from whit that i've been waiting for for years now, and i want it now. soon. we have to keep watching brook do this dumb material, instead of what really should be happening with whit. i'm SO sick of it.
forfoxandwhitney - October 18, 2006 08:45 AM (GMT)
Nuri,
I can't tell if Whit's "breakdown" was her behavior with incest baby, nun life, beating herself, and the monk crap. Truth be told, this is year and all that behavior that was NOT WHITNEY and her being crazy to starve her child and people like Fox saying what has possesed you, may have been it. What I do want right now is Whitney AWAY from Dud and back to a real story. Brook is just doing basically NOTHING in the acting department because she has nothing to do with Dud and hasn't for quite some time. She had tons of story with Fox and really more story to go IF JER was smart enough to write it but that's asking too much with where JER has gone these last two years. So either get her away from Dud and go back to the somewhat intended/foreshadowed story of Foxney, let Whitney fight Dud to get her kid back, or bring on a new love interest/story for Whitney. Brook has too much talent while hacks like Heidi, Danica, and Charles spend overtime on our screens.
whitbrookfan4life - October 18, 2006 07:25 PM (GMT)
i refuse to accept that. i agree, that jer may very well have written that and has it marked down as 'whit's breakdown period,' but it will never be that to me. uh uh. either she'll REALLY break down, or ill just go through life never getting the proper scenes/character development that i want for whit.
rikyrah - October 22, 2006 09:38 PM (GMT)
Whitney MUST be devastated by this turn of events with Dud.
She has to be. It's the only thing that will make sense.
ALLL this garbage that she's gone through with this jerk..
And, on the eve of their marriage..
To find out that she's being played?
Crash and burn.
Crash and burn.
of course Brook will be wonderful. It's going to be the only thing worth watching in this wretched storyline.
whitbrookfan4life - October 22, 2006 09:40 PM (GMT)
man rik, i have my fingers and toes crossed that youre right.
whitbrookfan4life - October 27, 2006 11:34 AM (GMT)
just caught up on my tape of wednesday. still trying to understand why gwen would come bother whit at the damn studio, she's never been there. HELLO whit, this should bring you suspicion. and i'm so mad i missed last friday, i didn't even know she was on.
rikyrah - October 31, 2006 05:22 AM (GMT)
We got to see an inkling of the REAL Whitney again today.
Sigh.
I miss her.
When she was beating the bed, I was like, YES YES YES
and Dud?
UGH.
He's so slimy, it's ridiculous
Alicia Keys - October 31, 2006 06:49 AM (GMT)
Today Whitney came off as an emotionally abused woman. That's seemingly how Brook Kerr is playing her these days. She can't trust herself, even though deep down I know she knows she's right. And the way he NASTILY flipped her accusations around on her toward the end. Only men who know they have complete control over someone do that mess. Only men who know they have TOO much control cheat and have the audacity to basically flaunt (he's not all that careful IMO). The further along we go, the less he cares about hurting Whitney. It's about saving his own ass, his own reputation.
Whitney struck me as pathetic, until today. I want to shake her, but, she's captive, as are most emotionally abused women. Even when they acknowledge such abuse, that doesn't mean they up and leave. Especially when child(ren) are involved. Even Valerie seemed to pity her at the end of the show. It's stopped being entertaining for me. I felt downright uncomfortable for Whitney today. That's of course, all props to Brook. She's always had a great grasp on her character. Whitney has always been insecure, so it's NOT a stretch for her to fall into such a cycle. Especially since she's not a risk taker.
whitbrookfan4life - October 31, 2006 05:29 PM (GMT)
ICAM sylv. you hit the nail on the head. like i told you, i almost busted out crying watching yesterday. i had to laugh along with stan to keep myself focused.
yes rik, we caught a tiny glimpse. only for it to be cancelled out about 52 times with that display with chad at the end of the eppy. so sickening.
but as always, brook you're killing it.
forfoxandwhitney - November 1, 2006 05:33 AM (GMT)
I ADORED the way Brook came across in the scenes but hated it at the same time. I'm sick of Whitney be a victim and manipulated. Whitney is a smart woman but even when Fox was "conning" her to be close to her, she never came off as "stupid" while it was happening. There was a respectful way JER had it done and then of course, Fox realizing how much he loved her over himself, put all that aside and dealt with her as straight as he could while trying to protect his secret love for her so that she could be happy with the dumbass.
But Chad has always had my hatred since I started watching in 2004. It wasn't instant but I knew he was a dud from jump with that stupid sweatsuit on. But the fact that Whitney can be taken in from someone who under Divins' portrayal is truly a dumbass just doesn't mode well with me. Fox under Justin was an understandably "foolable" situation. And of course it gave us Foxney, but why Whitney has to be stupid to Dud I just don't get. He's not worth the "foolishness" to come out of it from Whitney. Yes, Theresa is a fool for love when it comes to Ethan and Ethan can be a moron BUT there is something that makes Ethan to some extent worth it and Dud is just not. I want Whitney away from Dud and Brook away from Divins.
I don't know WHY she can't get this dead weight from around her neck as a character or actress. Dud, Ickney, nor Divins is just not any real investment. While I see that Brook, Whitney and a viable pairing(at one time Foxney) can be with how Brook plays her character. I hate seeing Brook wasted day to day on either T's schemes, Jared pimping, or Dud ANYTHING. Just knowing the MAGIC that Brook has created with Justin and Ben makes me want to cry. I think about Seacliff, I'm Torn, Afterglow, and Coffeehouse and cringe and what they do daily to waste someone as talented as Brook while we get the same ole same ole crap of GETJ and FKMT up our hineys almost daily. It's so hard to deal with. I'm hoping the new year is bringing a new direction for Brook as an actress or her character because if it isn't, I want her out of Passions for good. Her talent is being wasted and her character is stagnant. She showed life with Fox, she breathes life into Whitney with Justin and Ben, she was a different woman who took us on a journey with good acting, good partners and worthy material. Ever since Foxney were put in the neutral corners of incest and witchcraft stupidity, Fox nor Whitney's characters have truly be changed as individuals. There are no lessons learned, no hurdles to cross, no inner workings to build upon. Just mess and utter crap. And it's truly said once you've seen the greatness and potential they had a individuals that affected each others lives outside of their pairing and DREAMED of all the couple be as one, it's just so hard to swallow why we're seeing this junk on our screens.
whitbrookfan4life - November 7, 2006 05:22 PM (GMT)
ok, yesterday's episode ended with whit running away from chad after beccs told her ab his whore tendencies. and she's not on today.
so that would lead me to believe that the next time she/they are on, she would have some doubt about him and his ways, still not fully back under his spell.
if the next eppy she's on she's gushing ab him and his love and loyalty, i may throw something.
whitbrookfan4life - February 21, 2007 06:26 AM (GMT)
it's been a minute, but it's needed after todays.
1 - why does whit need chad to 'help her' with a distraught simone? she's your SISTER, whit. what did you think chad would be able to do? you know how to console her yourself, you could prob console her better than anyone else, if you would just get out of chad's arse.
2 - why is rae laid up in a funeral home, the same night that she got murdered? express mortician service?
3 - (as always) WHERE is nj!??!
4 - remember the convo you had with your damn husband next week, whit. since you just let him put down your sister.
5 - i'm still thinking chad's piece on the side (with the sex tape) (who he doesn't love) is noah or vincent.
