After their Q&A, Digest learned not to take anything that PASSIONS's Brook Kerr (Whitney) and Charles Divins (Chad) say too seriously. Here's what happened when Divins was late for a phone interview.
Soap Opera Digest: You were MIA.
Charles Divins: I wasn't MIA. I'm working.
Brook Kerr: Charles is always MIA.
Divins: I'm on set. Where are you at, Brook? You at the bar already [laughs]?
Kerr: He's the last one on the set every day.
Divins: Because I'm waiting for you to get there so you don't look bad. If I show up early and you show up late, you look really bad. I'm helping you out.
Digest: Do you run lines together?
Kerr: Yeah, we do a lot.
Divins (joking): Sometimes she comes to my place, I turn the air up high, we get another girl down the street, Maria [O'Brien], our acting coach. She comes in and joins us and plays the roles that we can't play ourselves.
Kerr: And she does that very wonderfully.
Divins: We run lines each day in the morning usually.
Digest: Whitney and Chad are finally a family with Miles. Do you have a story about working with him?
Divins: I'll tell you what's funny is he has nice little hair, but they always put gel in it to make him look pretty. It's weird that he has prettier hair than Brook and I. He's a beautiful baby. Everybody flocks to him.
Kerr: He's adorable. My favorite scene with him was when Chad came to the convent with him. I was in my habit and it was Chad's last attempt to get Whitney back. Sinqua [Walls, Miles] was acting his little behind off. Chad was like, "Baby, come back." Sinqua had puppy-dog eyes looking at me.
Divins: Yeah, he did his thing.
Kerr: It was so cute! He's really good.
Digest: What is your favorite scene with the two of you?
Divins: The baseball game with the girl vs. guy thing. She's dressed up in the catcher's outfit and it's a cute, playful thing that Chad and Whitney have going on.
Kerr: Yeah, that was fun.
