They're already up to volume SEVEN, so it's been going on awhile! They violate both little kids and popular music. You haven't hit your Internet potential until you've heard seven year olds singing that "Are you Gonna' be my Girl" song (a tune about...gasp..FUCKING). Little kids singing "Big black boots... long brown hair.." and wanting to take someone home with them. Even indie faves Modest Mouse get the KidzBop treatment.
They've also thought to cover their "multi-cultural requirement" by soliciting "LOS Kidz Bop". See? LOS! It's all songs done by bean..errrr, LATINOS! I've searched around, but was unable to find "Da' Kidz Bop", the black album.
The site also solicits Amy Grant albums. Someone buying KidzBop might feel compelled to buy THAT while they're on the site. So in a twisted way they're receving punishment.
I dunno..makes "C is for Cookie" seem like high art. I'm not one to judge, since I was enormously fucked up and used to listen to Pink Floyd, Rush or ACDC while playing with my Legos.

She loves this stuff. She now prefers BB's Love Me Do to the Beatles version, that I put on a Beatles CD that she otherwise likes a lot thank God (Yellow Submarine, Hello Goodbye, All Together Now, et al).
There are some songs NO ONE, let alone the damn BB, should remake. Stairway to Heaven, You Can't Always Get What You Want ... and American Pie, among many others, should be untouchable. And BB degrades Pie. Blasphemous. BB doing ANY Beatles song is blasphemous.
