Is the Von Erich vs. Flair match where Michael Hayes is the guest referee and... I won't spoil the finish. If so...GRRR... AND a Von Erichs vs. Freebirds match. What a great sounding tape... except for this first portion.

If I had to identify the jobber, he would be Masked Superstar... seems like a name all Jobbers-in-Masks used at the time.

Resnick is back again, this time with Rick Martel. Martel is focussed on winning the AWA Title from Jumbo Tsurata. Martel says "I..uh..." ALOT in one of the wimpiest interviews ever.

To be fair, Rick Martel was no Ric Flair on the microphone. He wasn't even a Lanny Poffo. He is certainly better than El Gigant/Giant Gonzales. To imagine a Gigante promo, just keep repeating "I want da belt!" over and over. Do it in public and people will crowd around, poking you with a stick.

"Masked Superstar" was my guess as well. Probably not Bill Eadie, but another generic jobber with that name. He looks like Magic Dragon somewhat and has that weird topknot like the Mongol.

I haven't skimmed through the entire tape, but yeah, I think the Flair/Von Erich cage match is the one with Michael Hayes. However, I think the Von Erichs/Freebird tag involves Mike Von Erich.

Of course:
No one shall ever have the esteem and grace of one Lanny Poffo...
Other wrestlers may try and fail, but their promos are just plain awful...

(watch out for the frisbee).

After watching the latest season of "Survivor", I'm convinced El Gigante/Giant Gonzalez had at least one offspring- that Julie chic. Gal has wide-ass angular cheekbones and the resemblance to Gonzalez is uncanny. It'll make seeing her eventual Playboy spread all the more disturbing. Look her up if you must.

By the way, isn't El Gigante's real name "George/Jorge GonzaLez"? I'm fairly certain he was NOT in the MST3K "Puma Man" movie, but I need to verify.

I'm pretty sure his real name is Jorge Gonzalez/s (seems to change every other week like Rotundo/a). Weird he suddenly vanished from TV and has never been seen since (Thank God).

Just hope you never see the episode of Baywatch (I think it was Baywatch) where he is a freindly giant who makes birds out of wood and is abused by his imigration worker and befriends a 9 year old boy while alone in his quarters.

Jorge Gonzalez = Rob Feinstein?
