Like I said, I had alot of fun doing this one. Also, I have to give credit to our buddy JMFabiano for that "Eight! Eight wonderful punches" Sesame Street joke. Funniest thing I heard all Thursday.

Is "Big Event" all that rare? I had never known about the thingie until 3 or 4 years ago.

Hey ES. Big Event is a semi rare event. A little more rare than Wrestlefest 88. I guess since it never made it to Coliseum Video, correct me if I am wrong, it is a rare event. Anyways that Piper/Flair handheld match seems good and defiently is very rare. Nice little tape you picked up!

...great, I must now steal that punch joke for every time Jim Duggan stops before ten...or I will just have it stuck in my head all day.

Weird seeing a TNA match reviewed on "da site", mainly because it's so...current. I'd probably say TNA is as bad as Smackdown is now. At least Smackdown isn''t trying to con people into thinking Jeff friggin Hardy is a legit World Champion to a belt once held by the likes of Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes...of course the 1993-2002 title history isn't so great, but I'm sure everyone ignores it.

Another entertaining review...and to think I almost jumped to conclussions seeing #3 and not #2. We Want 2! Hopefully the video quality was better on this tape than Rarities #2.

From the way it was clipped and presented, I suspect "Big Event" was released on video sometime.

Rasslin Rarities 2 is a 6 hour tape. It has the first Royal Rumble, the first Main Event, parts of a June 88 MSG show, parts of the 1990 Toyko Egg Dome card (including Hansen vs. Hogan) and a few arena matches from 88-90. The post office smashed it, so I had to re-build the tape housing. The vertical hold's off and it gives me a big fricking headache to watch.

I taped a few more TNA/NWA "greatest matches". I also taped the first few weeks of "Impact", but then realized it was a buncha' jobber matches. But I saw enough to realize that Shark Boy and D-Ray 3000 are my new boys. I love how Shark Boy "bites"...even though he has a MASK on. Well, you could put a pillow case over your head and STILL inflict damage by biting someone...but it cracks me up. Shark Boy and D-Ray also hang with Popeye between segments. They rule.

There's some lucha libre crap mixed in between. Mostly matches involving Shocker and the midget in the blue gorilla suit. If you haven't seen the 2 ft high blue gorilla, you need to. I think I taped a few Stacy Keibler "matches" as well.

However.....just cuz' I have some current junk, don't think I'm getting soft and want to talk about Eugene and Steve Austin. There is an uber-secret "wildcard" review coming up someday. It's mostly WWF from 1984-1992 with a few weird additions.
