Title: Tuesday Night Titans
Description: Some hilarious stuff from old School era

OrangeGoblinFan - October 8, 2004 10:47 AM (GMT)
I just recently got two old Coliseum videos consisting of just these types of segments (titled Bloopers, Bleeps and Bodyslams and WWF's Explosive TNT). I say, these were some of the more entertaining segments I've seen, and probably beats any humor segments WWE tries pulling now.

Some of the Good:
1. The Magnificent Muraco and Mr. Fuji acting. Fuji Vice is probably the funniest sketch on the tapes, as it's a parody of that detective show from the 80's...Miami Vice I think it's called. The acting is so horrible it's great, almost like the latest Adam Sandler movie...well, except the latter.

2. Also on another tape is Fuji General, where they are doing a rip-off of General Hospital. Cheesy background music, even worse acting, and arguments with the "4th rate B-level" director makes this great.

3. The Butcher Vachon Wedding Reception. Just a classic bit of comedy where Lou Albano makes an ass out of himself, Dave Schultz insults Vince McMahon, and everyone joining in on a pie fight where the whole place is destroyed. Even Jesse the Body shares some laughs in the mess.

4. Capt. Lou Albano cooking Christmas Cookies. Not the greatest sketch, but the way he rambles while putting in a bunch of ingredients and ends up dumping the mix all over Lord Alfred Hayes. George Steele saying "Cookies" is good enough for a plus anyway.

5. The Funk Family BBQ. Lord Alfred pisses off the Funks and Jimmy Hart, so they dumped sauce on him and string him up from a nearby tree.

6. Roddy Piper's parody of a Christmas Carol. Not one of his strongest sketches, although it can be balanced either way, but he gets in a few good insults ranting and screaming at Jacob Marley. Also, I swear he calls one of the Ghosts "An Ugly Fucker", although the audio wasn't too clear since he kinda mumbled it.

7. Andre The Giant acting like a fish on the set of TNT, which is used quite a bit in tribute videos lately. Just entertaining, and he does a pretty fun interview before it.

8. The Hart Foundation a Dating Game rip-off. Jim Niedhart sounds like a complete idiot, Jimmy Hart sounds like a nerd who thinks he's hot stuff, and Bret Hart is asked silly questions and just shows he isn't great with a microphone in his face. Afterwards Bret & Hart leave Niedhart to the wolves (an ugly lady with a big mole).

9. This is Your Life, Nikolai Volkoff. Last but definitely not least. Volkoff really looks like he had no idea he was in this sketch, and just laughs at everything. Freddie Blassie takes pride in making the crowd laugh at McMahon, and Volkoffs "sister" reminding him of the time they went to Gorky Park and threw up on the rides" was just too funny considering the voice she speaks in.

Plenty of more stuff, but these were some of the funnier ones.

I recommend anyone that enjoys this kind of stuff and that can overlook a few hours of non-wrestling on a WWF tape these two tapes, because they are just so damn entertaining and allow the wrestlers to (almost) be themselves.

Welcome to the club, Buccher. Anyone who has pictures of Kamala AND Abdullah the Butcher on his website is okay with me.

I'd like to trade for some of your stuff..but it looks like you have everything that I do.

BTW, think about it... but dontcha' think "Tuesday Night Titans" had a little bit of "Hee-Haw" in it? I half expected Junior Samples to be the announcer.
