Title: Red Sox piss off Yankees

So..anyone else hear about this series? Kind of an obscure rivalry, so it may have slipped under your radar.

After the Red Sox won on Friday night, Pokey Reese and Orlando Cabrera were spotted dacnig around and chest-bumping each other on the field. I guess they forgot that hey still had 2 more gams to play.

Saturday: Yankees win 14-4.
Sunday: Yankees win 9-1

That's a bludegoning. And Sunday's game was against "ace" Pedro Martinez.

Three things I picked up over this series:
1- Mariano Rivera is no longer my AL Cy Young vote. I'm considering either Curt Schilling or the bandwagon for Johan Santana. I'm hesitant to pick Santana, since an awesome half-season shouldn't be grounds for the Cy Young. (although you could point to Doug Drabek's 1990 Cy Young, Dennis Eckersley in 92 or Jason Giambi 's 2000 MVP).

2- Mike Mussina is back.

3- Manny Ramirez made one of the best catches of the season in Friday night's' opener. Hilarious to see Miguel Cairo run around the bases and mouth "OUT?!" as he
talked to the home plate umpire.

I was too busy having multiple heart attacks. Jeter, Posada, and A-Rod's home runs gave me new life in a Fantasy League....and everyone else did crap.

Thanks for bringing up the Ramirez catch...grr! I say a fan planted the ball in his glove. No way he could've caught that. NO WAY! [/bitter Yankee fan]

Oh well, 23-5 the last two games made my weekend.
