What?????? No play-by-play????? I'm let down, es. I'm.... intrigued with where they might go with all this stuff. I've got a few theories but will wait until next ish to see where they go with it.

oooo..yeah, Infinite Crisis #3! Sorry, I was sick the weekend I picked it up and it quickly slipped through my consciousness.

But, it's time for another issue that will RE-DEFINE the DC Universe!!

The Writer really likes old All-Star Comics. Not the original 40's All-Star Comics...the short-lived mid-70's revival that featured the "Super Squad". He probably won alot of geek trivia contests by talking about The Grown-Up Earth 2 Robin and how he banged the Earth 2 Huntress. (Which is creepy in so many ways... would YOU bang your best buddy's daughter? Even if you lived in Arkansas). So we get a painful sequence/cover in this issue alluding to the Earth-2 Batman mythos. The Earth-2 Superman asks the current Batman to join him and jump into the happy Earth-2 life. HA! I call a swerve, Mr. Writer!. Why would the current Batman want to jump to the Earth-2 timeline...a timeline in which Batman DIED? Oooo..forgot about that, didja'? Well, there's something you can look for at this year's San Diego show, putz-- I think Batman died in Brave & the Bold #200.

Elsewhere in this book, the Spectre attacks and destroys Aquaman's Atlantis. Okay, maybe I'm numb because Peter David would do this on a monthly basis in the 90's Aquaman series. But this will RE-DEFINE things! Paradise Island also disappears.... aside from being a pervert's wet dream, I can't recall any significant use of Paradise Island and the Amazons since they saved Gar Logan's life with their Purple Ray in New Teen Titans (published in 1981 or so... I'm sure The Writer has it). This will also RE-DEFINE things!

Then there's a swerve with Alex Luthor, one of the Crisis refuges who's been living in a bubble with Earth-2 Supes and Lois. Turns out that he's been posing as the current Luthor as well. Last I remember, the current Luthor died in Superman/Batman, about two years ago. I'm sure he's come back since then...but if he didn't, all the DC villains are about as sharp as pudding for blindly following a guy whose death was public knowledge. I didn't read "Villains United", but I certainly hope SOMEBODY asked the fake Luthor, "Umm, aren't you dead?"

Superboy-Prime, the other Crisis refuge is revealed as the right-hand man of Alex Luthor. I'm calling it now--either Superboy-Prime or Earth-2 Superman will realize the error of Alex's ways and "make the ultimate sacrifice" (comic-speak for "DIE") to save the day. Even if he doesn't do a face turn, I don't think the worthless (in terms of future character) Superboy-Prime is making it past issue 8 alive.

Oh yeah, since originality is key, Alex has constructed a Big Ass Cannon made from pieces of the Anti-Monitor. The Writer really wants you to notice the Anti-Monitor. Look, it's the Anti-Monitor! The BAC is powered by several captive superheroes. I'm going by memory here, but I think each cannon captive is from a different pre-Crisis Earth. Example: Martian Manhunter is the Earth-1 rep, Black Adam is the Earth-S rep, Lady Quark is the Earth-4 rep...I think Captain Atom of "Earth-Charlton" was in there as well. If the multiple Earth pattern is indeed the secret, then I expect them to kidnap Pig-Iron and Green Lambkin next month. Earth-C and Earth-C-Minus represent!!!

Fans, what does this mean!! So much action! This is the Greatest Comic in the History of DC! Fans, what will happen next!? But after this, all you'll have to do is buy all 52 issues of ..."52". Cuz' when all quality stories need 52 more issues to polish the edges.
