Title: Tunes to avoid

A few years back, I resolved to live the rest of my natural life without hearing another fucking Beastie Boys or Nirvana song. For the most part, it's worked out pretty well.

But since February, it seems I'm being stalked by two shitty songs.. I don't know who the responsible parties are, but the songs are "Some People Wait a Liftetime, for a Moment like Thiiiis" and "Eighth World Wonder"" (The latter is, no doubt, about some broad falling for Andre the Giant).

It started when I was, appropriately, in my dentist's chair two months ago. Some broad crooning about "7 days and nights of thunder" and the Eighth World Wonder..yeah-hhhh" came over their office music pipeline. In the same sitting I heard the whiny "People wait a lifetime for a moment" song. Now, at least once a week, I'll be at lunch chowing down and hear one, or usually, BOTH of those songs over the restuarant's music system.

It amplifies. Back in the office, we have a lady who whistles all day long and sounds travels well in the joint. Thus, alot of us are forced to drown it out with our own radios. I usually listen to the wacky/trippy Radio 1190 or the Jim Rome show, but the ladies closest to me prefer light music. Like the kind they play in dental offices! I'll drop into their offices for business purposes and 50% of the time it's ONE of those tunes. The other 50%..it's the OTHER tune. I work with primarily soccer moms in their 30's and 40's, so what do you expect?

I'm seriously thinking about suing the RIAA for stalking. I need a restraining order for these two tunes. Nobody within 50 feet of me should be allowed to play them. Things haven't been this bad since those shitty Collective Soul and Live tunes stalked me from 1994 to 1996.

Misery loves sympathetic typing... so what are some songs that have stalked YOU?

I don't know the name of the song since I tend to poke myself in the ears with a ballpoint pen whenever it's on, but it's some guy crooning while playing a guitar in one of the most boring videos of all time (I think it's the same guy that did an appearence on Chappelle's Show about white people can't dance). VH1 plays it everyon 15 minutes, MTV (when music is actually on) every other video, and all the wussy radio stations play it.
