Title: Guest Column 41

You know it's good if Sean Waltman gets a Title Shot!

Aren't the amazing carribean strap matches coming up?

Noticed something funny concerning Aldo Montoya this week. I picked up a Bargain Bin comic from 1997, featuring Sub-Mariner and Captain America. In the story, Sub-Mariner has to to don special "battle armor"...and his helmet looks exactly like Aldo Montoya's head gear, right down to the color.

Thank God, I don't have any of those magical carribean strap matches, but there's still plenty of Savio Vega matches to go around (Sobs). There's only 5 more of these damn tapes left (Thank God), and in the immortal words of Bob Uecker, "Who cares, nobody is listening, anyway."

Look out on the next tape...

The Body Donnas & Cloudy!
Aldo Montoya, The Jockstrap-O-War!
JBL before he had charisma, talent, heat...
The Goon!
The Bushwackers!
Born-Again Jake Roberts!
The Brooklyn Brawler!
Warrior vs. Lawler!

Looking at that impressive list, it's amazing I have yet to attempt suicide.

JBL before he had charisma, talent, heat...

Like he has talent now?

He has some talent, but not a lot. Still, it's more than he had in 1996 when he was a green horn.

I've only see "JBL" on TV maybe twice in the past year or so, and both were in non-wrestling roles. I watched the Very Special Iraqi Christmas Smackdown, where JBL came out and cut a promo in a Human Bomb/Biohazard suit. Based soley on his mic work, I couldn't believe it was the same greasy black haired, steer-horned Hardcore title belt wearing putz from a few years ago. Of course, he did the stupid WWE trick where his opponent's music cuts in, and he has to act "scared" and fall down. Also caught his Wrestlemania promo through On Demand last month. They did a spoof on the famous court scene from "A Few Good Men" and Bradshaw nailed the Jack Nicholson role.

But I'm expecting he gets in the ring and it's all punchy/kick and, BY GAWD, the clothesline from Hell. Not the first time they've polished a turd and made him a top-level guy. Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Rocky Maivia come to mind.

Somewhat related to the 1996 era of the WWF: I caught "TNA Impact" last night and saw that Chris Candido, aka Body Donna Skip, died?! Wow. Based on what I've seen from his TNA work, his presence basically carried two scrawny guys (the Naturals) to the tag team titles. Without Candido around, I doubt they would have booked the Naturals to win.

In other news....
-Goblin, do you want me to email you the password for your old screename? Only benefit is that you'd be off the "Taxi Squad" and back to being a "R.F.O", or whatever I titled the 50-post rank.

-Stay tuned to eStragand.com for a special WWF flashback review. I'll be back in the saddle for a special 1987-era recap. Along with a surprise or two. Should be posted this week. Tell your friend.

I created this name because I not only forgot the password, but the email address I used. If you could PM the password for the previous name to this name, that would be cool. :)

Back to the topic.... yeah, Candido died Thursday night due to a blood clot caused by him breaking his leg in Lockdown. I think the move happend with Sonny Siaki (a.k.a wanna-be Rock), who is also known for nearly killing the guy who used to be Kwee Wee in WCW (Alan Funk) on a WWA Tour in 2002-03.

Candido had recently cleaned himself up and was working harder than ever in his TNA Comeback, and was used as a guiding light for the Naturals.

You should be receiving a "Forgotten Password" email momentarily.

Although..there IS a "forgotten password" link under the log-in screen... but you knew about that and were just checking to see if I knew that, right? Good job.
