Title: Tag Team Game v 2.0

estragand - February 5, 2005 05:31 AM (GMT)
Trying to top "42 degrees of Marty Jannetty". No timeframe limit this time. Lurkers or newcomers, please join in. The idea is to name a wrestler's regular tag partner. See the thread "The Tag Team" game for an example and more rules.

We start once again with....

Kane

OrangeGoblinFan - February 5, 2005 07:27 AM (GMT)
Rob Van Dam (former Tag Team champions from April-June 2003)

estragand - February 6, 2005 05:49 AM (GMT)
Sabu

OrangeGoblinFan - February 6, 2005 07:08 AM (GMT)
Raven (the two teamed up in NWA-TNA, which lead to a stupid feud with no logical finish)

wrestlevessel - February 6, 2005 12:48 PM (GMT)
sorry i forgot to login.

Justin Credible. The team managed by Terri in Summer/Fall of 2001.

estragand - February 6, 2005 08:30 PM (GMT)
X-pac/ Syxx/ Syxx Pac/ Co-Star of Worst HomeMade Porn Ever/Lightning Kid/ 1-2-3 Kid/Sean Waltmann

You may remember them from the glory days of X-Factor... I got everything I ever wanted, and I'm never gonna' give it baaack.. I know you hate X-Factor, but why ya' gotta' look at me like that...

OrangeGoblinFan - February 6, 2005 08:46 PM (GMT)
Big Show (during the wanna-be-forgotten WWE nWo days)

(stabs ear with ball point pen because of X-Factor theme)

estragand - February 7, 2005 06:46 AM (GMT)
Sting
tag champs during the nWo wars of mid 1998..and a pretty big storyline of the time.

(hint: "Ultimate Warrior" is NOT a good answer!)

wrestlevessel - February 7, 2005 12:30 PM (GMT)
Lex Luger. Sting & Luger were always teaming up.

OrangeGoblinFan - February 7, 2005 03:15 PM (GMT)
Ric Flair (I forgot the name, but I think they were actually called the Total Package in 1999 or something like that)

wrestlevessel - February 7, 2005 04:13 PM (GMT)
Arn Anderson. These 2 Horsemen members teamed quite a bit.

estragand - February 7, 2005 09:49 PM (GMT)
Well, I think "Tully Blanchard" would've led to "Gino Hernandez", then "Chris Adams" for a dead end. So I'll pick Arn's Dangerous Alliance partner and co-tag champ:

Bobby Eaton

(And yup, Luger and Flair were known as "Team Package" in 2000. I was hoping you guys would take that path. Good job!)

OrangeGoblinFan - February 7, 2005 11:09 PM (GMT)
It seemed like a better route than going with Davey Boy Smith, which would've most likely lead to a dead end with Dynamite Kid.

Hmm... Bobby Eaton... teamed with Steven Regal (as the Blue Bloods). I think Regal would be easier to link than Stan Lane or Dennis Condrey.

estragand - February 8, 2005 12:32 AM (GMT)
Lance Storm

wrestlevessel - February 8, 2005 11:43 AM (GMT)
Val Venis. (the new team that teamed in late 2003, early 2004)

estragand - February 8, 2005 05:11 PM (GMT)
Of course, by "Val Venis" (who we already linked to the SAME EXACT PARTNER in the previous round) you REALLY meant to say "Christian", right? Good job.

OrangeGoblinFan - February 8, 2005 07:38 PM (GMT)
People REALLY think VAL VENIS when coming up with Storms partner?

How bout Chris Jericho? I heard of a team called the Thrill Seekers that was pretty over. Or the Un-Americans with that Christian guy. I wonder if anyone heard of him.

But no..... select the biggest fucking jobber who teamed with 2 people in his career, AND REPEATING THE SAME EXACT PATTERN! Way to fucking go!

wrestlevessel - February 8, 2005 09:24 PM (GMT)
fine Mike Awesome.

OrangeGoblinFan - February 9, 2005 05:00 AM (GMT)
When were Awesome and Storm a regular team?

wrestlevessel - February 9, 2005 12:05 PM (GMT)
Around the Invasion angle time period.

OrangeGoblinFan - February 9, 2005 08:46 PM (GMT)
Awesome was on the roster for barely a month, and I don't recall them ever teaming more than once.

estragand - February 9, 2005 09:47 PM (GMT)
Mike Awesome and Lance Storm tagged for a period of time as "Team Canada" in WCW's final days. Awesome was the last guy to joing the group, late in 2000, after dumping his "That 70's Guy" gimmick. Storm and Awesome tagged exclusively for about 2 or 3 months. On the last Nitro, they faced Chuck Palmubo and Sean O'Haire for the tag straps. I don't think they ever tagged in WWF.

Only other partner I could find for Awesome was Raven (ECW Tag champs, circa March 2000).

wrestlevessel - February 10, 2005 12:42 AM (GMT)
Tommy Dreamer teamed with Raven in ECW.

estragand - February 10, 2005 06:02 AM (GMT)
Terry Funk

OrangeGoblinFan - February 10, 2005 08:30 AM (GMT)
Cactus Jack/Mick Foley/Dude Love/Mankind (expects a lame ass response from you-know-who).

wrestlevessel - February 10, 2005 11:53 AM (GMT)
Goblin! Goblin! Orangegoblin. sing it. You prob. thought i would say Rock but no.

I am going with Cactus Jack's tag team partner in ECW- Mikey Whipwreck.

estragand - February 10, 2005 05:42 PM (GMT)
Yosihiro Tajiri
Tagged with Mikey regularly in 2000 and they were tag champs for all of one day

Please note that we've already used "Steven Regal", mmm'kay?

wrestlevessel - February 10, 2005 06:47 PM (GMT)
I'm not going to use the obvious choice- Rhyno.

I'll go with Eddie Guerrero, the replacement when Chavo got hurt in May 2003 and they teamed for a while.

estragand - February 11, 2005 10:31 PM (GMT)
Chavo Guererro, Jr.

But crap, who did he team with? Pepe the Pony?

OrangeGoblinFan - February 12, 2005 12:33 AM (GMT)
Him and Hugh Morrus had some kind of thing going in October-November 2001 during the Alliance angle, but I don't think they wrestled once on RAW/SD. Otherwise... no fucking clue.

wrestlevessel - February 12, 2005 12:49 AM (GMT)
perhaps we could use chavo Sr?????

estragand - February 16, 2005 10:59 PM (GMT)
da hey..I forgot that Chavo Jr DID have a regular tag partner. As "Lt. Loco" he teamed with "Cpl. Cajun"/Lash LeRoux to win the WCW tag titles in 2000 as the Misfits in Action.

Y'know..."Chavo Sr." is actually a decent, straight-up answer. Chavo Sr & Jr teamed up last year in WWE. Sr usually seconded Jr, but they worked a few tag matches and tagged together MORE than the Mega-Powers did.

Let's take it back to da' old school, fool... with Chavo Sr's former NWA Americas Tag Team Championship partner:

Butcher Vachon.

Demolition Blast - February 24, 2005 06:48 PM (GMT)
Mad Dog Vachon

estragand - February 25, 2005 06:05 PM (GMT)
Had to search around for this one:

Ivan Koloff (IWA tag champ with Mad Dog Vachon, circa 1974)

I think that was the old Indiana area-- an AWA feeder, famous for Bobby Heenan and other AWA fellers.

wrestlevessel - February 25, 2005 10:05 PM (GMT)
going with obvious choice of Nikita Koloff.

estragand - February 26, 2005 12:27 AM (GMT)
Dusty Rhodes, if you wheeel!

Partnered with Nikita in the "Super Powers". Big angle where Nikita defected to the US in honor of Magnum TA, and they won the Crockett Cup. And no, Dusty's not a dead-end... think "Texas" for a fairly successful partnership he had in the 70's.

WV: it's NOT Dustin!

Demolition Blast - March 3, 2005 05:17 PM (GMT)
Dick Murdoch (the Texas Outlaws)

estragand - March 8, 2005 10:37 PM (GMT)
Dick Slater-- partnered with Murdoch in the short-lived "Hardliner Collection Agency" or "Hardliners". In storylines, they were famous for injuring Scott Steiner.

Demolition Blast - April 6, 2005 04:24 PM (GMT)
Barbarian

WCW United States Tag Champions in 1992

estragand - April 11, 2005 05:01 AM (GMT)
