In the midst of a slump, the Yankees are now trying ANYTHING to win. Including asking Bud Selig to award them a forfeit victory against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

...We'll take any wins we can!! And can you email my new password to my AOL account? I still don't remember what email address I used to register.
<---Horses ass.
Still nice to see Tino Martinez get cheered by the New York crowd though.

Any win you can get? More like FEAR of the Red Sox! You know you need to win the way they are playin. A forfeit is cheap and the guys in Florida have families. Seeing how the double header was PPD, I don't know what's next. But I hate the Yankees! My Padres should've at least won game 1 of the WS :D
Latest news is that they've now repealed their request for a forfeit. And their slump's not THAT bad. They've gone 6-4 over their last 10. Problem is, the Red Sox have gone 9-1, causing the "Liberal Sports Media" to jump on the underdog bandwagon (to paraphrase a Republican catchphrase).
The Rockies' broadcast turds were just BURYING the Yankees for this, last night. Demanding George Steinbrenner step down (umm...why!? Why the fuck would an OWNER step down?) and saying the Yankees should issue a public apology.
I had to think about this: if, say, the Rockies or Mariners had been the ones asking for the forfeit-- would the story have received as much hype as it did? But, because it's the Big Bad Yankees, it's scrutinized. I posted this topic 'cuz I thought it'd be a funny rib for Yankees fans...not the NATIONAL EMBARASSMENT most broadcasts are labelling it as.
Need I remind everyone (snickers) that the last time the Yankees met the Padres in the playoffs, the Yankees tarped the field with their asses and sent them into a state of sucking.
Like I'd bother to take anything the ROCKIES Broadcast team would say seriously. When Colorado doesn't suck so bad, I might, but right now, eh.
