Title: Interview with the Phantom
Description: What would you ask him?

GypsyDy - October 19, 2005 02:43 AM (GMT)
I don't think the Phantom ever gave out an interview-------but WHAT if he did? If you were the Paris reporter what would YOU ask him? Well now is your chance!
And if you feel like telling us what he answered to your question, we'd all like to be in on his secrets!!!!!!

PARIS REPORTER: My readers would like to know---no one has ever found out about your family, what can you tell us about them?

PHANTOM: My mother was a Gypsy. She dallied with a Frenchman, it was quite shocking in those days--very wrong in the Gypsy community!!! Yes, yes, I was a mongrel---a bastard. My Mother was a total hellion, and she took it out on me!!! Eventually she sold me to the Gypsy Carnival, she said she deserved a few coins for having to look at me all those years! I really did not miss Mother Dear. Of course the Circus was a nightmare---but things did get better once we got to Paris! I don't think about my old family---best to put that rubbish behind me!

candy281 - October 21, 2005 12:17 AM (GMT)
Uhhhh....would you be willing to show me your swan bed?

GypsyDy - October 21, 2005 07:30 AM (GMT)
*shh* PHANTOM---What a charming question dear girl! I am quite flattered! However at the moment I am feeling a bit "off" of women. I had the most horrible experience with this little tease named Christine---I won't bore you with the whole horrible story. Let us just say she quite dissapointed me! I am taking some time off of women at the moment---check with me once I recover! One point tho, I know it has been a matter of confusion---but please notice next time you see it, that my bed is actually a PEACOCK and not a swan---a natural mistake. A swan is more common---but then I always like to be more dramatic!!!!!!! *erik*

candy281 - October 21, 2005 08:01 AM (GMT)
...Well you have my number, give me a call when you can!

ps. Gypsy dear, the POTO companion book says its a black swan ;)

GypsyDy - October 21, 2005 09:44 PM (GMT)
Candy---well whatever the book may say, (I have that book as well) next time you watch the POTO notice (I KNOW it is HARD to make your eyes not stay fixed on Mr. Sexie Pants!!!) that it really is a GOLD PEACOCK!!!!!!!!! Hey, I had to watch the movie 5 times before I noticed it!!! Of course now I have watched it close to around 20 times so I pretty much can close my eyes and run the whole thingie in my head!!!!!!!! *2*

On another note-------since people are having trouble with this topic----or they are to shy to do it, JUST POST YOUR QUESTION TO THE PHANTOM, AND I WILL MAKE SURE HE ANSWERS IT JUST LIKE I DID FOR CANDY ABOVE!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

BenThereDunThat - October 23, 2005 03:13 AM (GMT)
Dear Phantom,
You were so handsomely beautiful and well dressed and you carried yourself so elegantly-how is this possible with your back ground with the carnival and your history with your Mother?

GypsyDy - October 24, 2005 01:42 AM (GMT)
*shh* PHANTOM---I believe one shouldn't be hindered by their background, once I came to the Opera House, I was introduced to a whole new world. One of refinement and elegance from the patrons--and I wished to emulate those I observed. Also my dear Madam Giry brought me boxes of books, and I read a lot and it opened the world to me. I think the secret to all is in books!!! I also was quite overcome with the grandure of the Opera House sets and costumes, and that is why I made my world below to emulate a set---I turned my back on my sordid past and made myself the world I wished to have !!! Unfortunately when it came to LOVE, it was not so easy to achieve what I had envisioned--but that is a story I do not wish to discuss at the moment, the wounds are to fresh!

BenThereDunThat - October 24, 2005 02:58 PM (GMT)
I am anxious to know, what attracted you to Christine in the first place. I know you knew her since she was a child and were her tutor, when did you feeling for her change? :ph43r:

GypsyDy - October 24, 2005 09:32 PM (GMT)
Well it is not like I got out much to meet women!!! They did not have the internet dateing scene in my day! The ladies of the chorus were a bit wild for my tastes, and the Ballet girls mere GIRLS--yes of course Christine was too, but suddenly she BLOOMED before my eyes, and so did my heart. I also was quite overcome by her voice---truely beautiful. We DID make beautiful music together---on stage anyway. I dreamed of other Night music, but alas she only wanted the goof with the white horse, terrible taste!!! Perhaps she was just a silly little girl afterall! *2*

BenThereDunThat - October 25, 2005 09:15 PM (GMT)
Why did you hang the man that worked backstage at the opera? :ph43r: and do you think of yourself as more good or more evil?

GypsyDy - October 26, 2005 02:29 AM (GMT)
Well, I DO have my wicked streak--it is what makes me what I am, for better or worse! I am rather impulsive sometimes to my own determent!
Are we talking about the hanging of that weasel Bouquet???? Horrible man!!! I'd had my eye on him for a long time!!! He drilled a hole in the ladies dressing room wall and PEERED at them like the sick pervert he was!!! Had he drillled it in the wall of the dressing room Meg and Christine had used he'd have died a lot sooner! I let it go, because the ladies of the chorus were mostly loose women anyway---but it still irked me that he could be such a SWINE!!! So THAT night, I wanted to make a statement---two birds with one stone if you get my drift!!!!! Do I regret it? Not in the least!!! Rid the world of one sicko!!! And then people call ME a monster! And there was that SCUM crawling around in their midst! If God wasn't going to take care it it, well I did!!! DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT???????? *1*

BenThereDunThat - October 26, 2005 08:29 PM (GMT)
Now you are scareing me - I will have to end this interview unless you can get yourself under control. Have you heard of our modern day course in ANGER MANAGEMENT? Don't you think that your uncontrolled anger has gotten you in trouble in the past; perhaps even cost you the love of Christine??? *white*

GypsyDy - October 27, 2005 06:27 AM (GMT)
My dear girl, you really are being QUITE ridiculous! ME going to some feelgoodlooniegroup!!!!!! Quite ridiculous!!! I am what I am, and you can take me or leave me! Considering what life has put me through I find my reactions quite logical and rational. As for Christine, she may deny it but the little hussy quite had the hots for me until that stupid Raoul came sniffing around and acting like Prince Charming!!! Ask HER if she thinks I am to angry and terrible---I let the fools go. didn't I??? I could have strung the fop up to the rafters and threw her over my shoulder and ran off and had my way with her!!! But I didn't--please give me credit for being compasionate at the ultimate moment of truth!!! *erik*

BenThereDunThat - October 30, 2005 05:19 AM (GMT)
What was your relationship with Madame Giry and Meg? How long had you known Madame Giry?

GypsyDy - October 30, 2005 06:49 AM (GMT)
Madam Giry is like a sister to me, she litterly saved my life when we were children. She rescused me from that horrible circus and brought me to the Opera House. She helped me to adjust to my new world underneath the Opera, and I could always count on her. Meg, well I did rather feel like her Uncle, if an unseen one!!! I kept my eye out for the little minx!!! I was good at finding a lost doll, or pulling up a blanket in the middle of the night, but I made sure she did not see me! Really it was my most normal relationship. For that reason alone it was very precious to me. Until the day I die, if either of them are ever in trouble, I will run to their aid!!! *1*

BenThereDunThat - October 31, 2005 04:07 AM (GMT)
There seems to be some controversy about your bed. Is it a swan or is it a peacock? Where did you get it and why did you choose that particular animal?

GypsyDy - October 31, 2005 07:18 PM (GMT)
Open your eyes woman--it's a peacock!!!!
It was left over from some stage production, and I took a shine to it! Don't think I didn't have a jolly good time dragging the damn thing down to the bowels of the Opera house and across a lake! HA--sometimes I surprise even myself!!! At a big place like the Opera House, things are always going astray. Little bits and pieces come up missing! Imagine the looks on the stage hands faces when they realized THAT went missing!!!!! They were quite confounded! Madam Giry and I had quite a laugh over it I assure you! "The Opera Ghost has stolen the Peacock Bed" HA!!! I love to leave them confounded!!! Kept them knowing WHO was in charge around there!!! *1*

BenThereDunThat - November 2, 2005 04:11 AM (GMT)
Tell us about the mask- how did you come to wear it? How did you get it?

GypsyDy - November 2, 2005 09:12 PM (GMT)
I don't want people to stare at my face!!! I want to hide my deformity, and I like to be elegant---one can't be elegant if you look like a gargoyle! I made the mask, I tried many threw the years---but this one seemed to suit me. It looked mysterious and no one else had one like it! I tried various colors and they looked quite gaudy---this one also would loom out of the darkness, and I was playing at Opera Ghost, so it was quite appropriate!!! *erik*

BenThereDunThat - November 6, 2005 10:44 PM (GMT)
Why did you spare Raoul"s life?

GypsyDy - November 7, 2005 07:58 AM (GMT)
Because I loved Christine, and she so obviously loved the fool. It was a weak moment, she overwhelmed me with the feelings of her kiss. It is hard for me to talk about----please excuse me.......................

Mystic Sin - November 8, 2005 05:45 AM (GMT)
No need for you to exuse yourself dear lovey.... *smiles* Hearts are mendable.

GypsyDy - December 6, 2005 07:56 AM (GMT)
Reporter: How does it feel knowing you will go down in history as a notorious villian?

Phantom: Will I??? Well I find it quite amuseing!!! Consider the havoc man has reined down on other men throughout the ages, that I should be remembered for such a small transgression---and all in the name of love---well it is quite obserd! I would rather be rememberd as a man who had to much love in his heart for his human body to hold it, and therefore he wrongly expressed it in frustration and pain! But they will say about me what they will! The truth is I had more goodness in me than most men, but because I had this flawed face I was cast away like garbage! So you tell me where was the greatest sin, and who committed it?
*2*

BenThereDunThat - December 8, 2005 02:59 AM (GMT)
Keep going Gypsydy- great post - keep going!

GypsyDy - December 8, 2005 03:30 AM (GMT)
Thank you for those great words!!!!!!!

*mask* The Phantom says : ASK ME A QUESTION, AND I SHALL REPLY!!!!

*1*

BenThereDunThat - December 14, 2005 03:14 AM (GMT)
Phantom :ph43r: ,
I am interested in your past, your family, your life before you came to the OPera House. Do you have any living family??? Do you ever see them if you do? Where are you from?

GypsyDy - December 14, 2005 07:42 AM (GMT)
My family were Gypsy's traveling around Southern France. My Mother got pregent by a Frenchman, quite not done in the Gypsy community! They voted her out of the tribe and her father (tho only living relative I know of) left with her. They lived in a hovel at the edge of a small town mear the Southern Mountains. and I was born there. My mother sold herbs and Gypsy cures. Grandfather made and sold a very nasty sort of alcohol that could knock you flat and he was drunk on it all the time! Ah what a lovely family life I had!!! The children of the village tormented me------and then Mother dear sold me to the circus! I've no idea what became of them, altho I imagine Grandfather is dead by now. As far as I am concerned Dear Mother may as well be, I have cut her out of my heart like one would a gangreen finger!!! My family NOW is Madam Giry and her daughter Meg---they are the family I care about---not those of the distant past. Those who knew me before I became what I am now, THE PHANTOM! *1*

BenThereDunThat - December 17, 2005 02:16 AM (GMT)
So you are a gypsey?? What gypsey customs do you remember or still use today?

GypsyDy - December 17, 2005 07:41 AM (GMT)
Half Gypsy---my father was a white Frenchman. Well, so much of what I am was formed in those early days. My Grandfather taught me magic tricks--slight of hand and picking pockets too! My mother, I helped her to gather the herbs and things to make the potions---that is how I knew to make the one that had Carlotta croaking that famous night! Gypsys don't like people to use their real names, as it gives one power over you--probably dates to the time when curses were much believed in. Gypsys use nicknames, of birds and animals and things---our real ones are kept secret in the family and rarely used. I still don't like people to know or use my real name--I have used Erik and many think that is my name--but it is not, only one I have used! Oh there is much I remember and some I have forgotten--much I would like to forget I can assure you!!! But it is there, inside me, always. Even were it not for this face I would be dispised by many for being a "dirty Gypsy" and a bastard too! I learned early that hate comes much more easily thatn love in this world!

GypsyDy - January 6, 2006 08:16 AM (GMT)
I am bringing this up once again for the new people, those who have only first seen Phantom and may find this of interest to them!
*mask* *1* *shh*

GypsyDy - June 12, 2006 01:43 AM (GMT)
Time for this one to have another swing threw the Discussion, we have new people, and maybe new questions????
Ask away, I am sure the Phantom will still answer any you pose! *1*

phantomphan1778 - June 14, 2006 07:36 PM (GMT)
*lmao*

You ladies crack me up!

GypsyDy - June 16, 2006 05:59 AM (GMT)
Quote from the Phantom: I will defend MY Ladies in a manner that will bring fear to the hearts of men! If you know what is good for you, fear my wrath!!! My Ladies must be treated with respect at all times, and if you touch even one hair upon their heads you will live to regret it, and hope my noose is fast and swift!"

GerryB1315 - July 6, 2006 02:16 AM (GMT)
phantom...will u marry me???

*shh* *hrt*

mischa8 - July 6, 2006 02:28 AM (GMT)
way to put it bluntly, brooke!
*lmao*

GypsyDy - July 6, 2006 02:57 AM (GMT)
I hate to dissapoint you dear lady! I am quite flattered that you would wish to marry me, especially after the terrible way I was treated by that ungrateful little wench Chrsitine!
However I cannot marry anyone, as you see I have a price on my head from killing those ingrates at the Opera, never mind burning down the house! Should I show my neck in public they would be sure to stretch it longer than I did Boquets!
And besides I have a lovely girlfriend now, who lets me share her bed and I am quite devoted to!!! She is, as they say Hot to Trot for me, and also I for her! Her name is Mademoiselle Dyann Muris, but more I shall not tell! A Gentleman does not kiss and tell. Raoul is welcome to Christine, I find I do not need her at all anyway! I did appreciate the kiss, but I have moved on to more torrid events which I like even better! *shh*

mischa8 - July 6, 2006 03:00 AM (GMT)
*LOL* ..sorry brooke, better luck in the next lifetime!
