Ritchie planning 'RocknRolla' trilogy

Actress Thandie Newton has told MTV that Guy Ritchie's upcoming crime thriller RocknRolla is the first in a planned trilogy.

"RocknRolla is one of three films and Guy’s keen to get going on that straight away," Newton revealed. "[The second and third films] are going to be excellent. I can’t wait."

The Run, Fatboy, Run star admitted she was impressed with the speed at which Ritchie works.

"We shot incredibly quickly [on the first]," Newton added. "He just gets on with it. He absolutely does not see challenges as intimidating. "

Newton added that many of the film's cast, which includes Gerard Butler, Jeremy Piven and Tom Wilkinson, get killed off. "I managed to get away, but a quite a lot of them died," Newton said. “[The sequel] will follow whoever’s left.”

Newton plays a shady accountant in RocknRolla, a film that revolves around London gangsters chasing millions of dollars through a Russian mobster's real estate scam.
