READ THE WHOLE THING, VERY IMPORTANT!
This is a lot, so bear with me, guys, lol.
I finally got around to Scotch tonight, and she finally gave in. She's definitely no longer a part of this site...and to make it official, I've taken over her name. I've moved all of my info into her account, so now I'm the official owner of this board. Completely. I've deleted my old account, since it's no longer needed, so you'll see a bunch of UNREGISTERED posts where mine once were. I was talking to Starshine earlier (whom I've made a co-Admin tonight as well), and I was telling her how liberating this all feels. Like a weight being lifted off my shoulders. Not that Scotch was a burden to me, just a slight annoyance because of her lacking communication skills. But that's in the past now. Onward!
It's about 1 am right now, but later today, 02-20-08, I will be starting "the changes" on the forum. At first I was just going to fix a few things, but then I got to thinking...if I'm going to doing this, I might as well just go for it and start off completely fresh. So, I'll do a little at a time each day for the next few days. I'll start off by adding a few topics and doing some rearranging...and then, at the end, I'll be changing the forum's name to DiscoverGerry, as well as fixing the banner and any accompanying topic titles to match. While this is taking place, the board will be down, but I'll have a message up, so don't freak out and think it got deleted, ok? Haha...
Our vision for the forum is a lot different than Scotch's...so I hope you don't get lost. If you have questions or DO get lost, contact either myself or Starshine by PM or email.
First thing in the morning tho, I'll be sending out a mass email informing EVERYONE about this change. I'm hoping it'll spur a bunch of them into coming back, now that Scotch is gone. I know she created A LOT of beef with quite a few of them. In addition to that, I'll be updating my MySpace, Facebook, DeviantArt, and LiveJournal accounts to make them all aware, and invite any more willing members to stop in. Also, I'll be emailing Dayna from GB Gals and letting her know, that way she can inform any of the higher-ups if need be.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The change of the forum name to DiscoverGerry will also mean a change in the link to get here. This will definitely be the VERY LAST thing to be updated. As soon as it is, I'll issue yet another mass email to everyone with the updated link for you all to add to your favorites.
I hope I haven't given you all a migrane with all of this new info, lol. I know it's a lot to soak in at once, but believe me, I wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for the benefit of this site.
I'm excited to get started, and I hope you all are ready to REALLY Discover Gerry!
