Title: Vatali/Williams
Description: ugh.......

Sad that the heavyweight division in boxing has been completely reduced to this. I don't understand who thought that this was a PPV calibur ME. I know Williams beat Tyson but I don't think he has any drawing power.
Vatali wins by KO in about 5 rounds IMO.

Vitali is KOing Williams in 2 rounds. Williams beat Tyson... except he beat an out of shape, injured Tyson. He still beat Tyson, and thats enough for some promoters in this World.
Danny Williams is this months flavor. He knocked out a has-been, and in the eyes of some greedy fuckers, he deserves a Heavyweight Championship. I just wish I had PPV to see this murder.

Ah..... I was wondering who you were.
Boxing PPVs are $50 which sucks especially when the ME is a complete crapfest. This is more of an HBO calibur match though.

I've seen more appealing fights on ESPN 2's Friday Night Fights, even ones between people who are 2-7 in 4 Round scheduled.

Is there any hope for boxing anymore?
Seriously.

It's going to fall a lot further before it rebounds. The problem with getting a new big star is that there's no one at the moment to draw people in to see the next big thing.
And they need to get the corruption under control. My friends and I used to chip in for the PPV fights but stopped after several very questionable judges decisions. We got sick of seeing someone clearly win a fight and then the judges call it a draw or give it to the other guy.

How do you find someone like that, though? Do you just wait for another Ali or Rocky-type? Or do you make them?

It's kind of hard to find someone like a Mike Tyson or Lennux Lewis (going by this generation of fighters). For example, Tyson fought 18-20 fights before given a shot, even though he was pegged for success before he turned pro.
Most fighters you see locally or on TV like ESPN's Friday Night Fights or Showtimes New Generation Fights are too generic or just not marketable looking enough to make an impact. All the Heavyweights I've seen recently are boring and most Featherweights, Middleweights, Bantomweights etc. look the same and have nothing that stands out. It's like watching slices of bread fight.

From the rumor mill... TSM, apparently Danny Williams is getting the shit beat out of him by Vatali Kikrejjnmekkee.
Apparently the fight was stopped in the 8th Round from too much of an ass kicking. Vatali won of course.
