Fans, April was the Greatest Month in the History of Our Site!

After taking a slight hit in February, things appear to headed back up, again. Longer page views, more traffic, etc.

I'm going to re-arrange our "current reviews" section. Make it more like our "24/7 reviews" section, with everything split off into its own little folder. ECW, RAW, Impact, etc. Which reminds me: Rowe, is "NWA Showcase" still continuing? Or did they pull the plug, to the dismay of all 13 fans? :)

I'll post the top 10 referrals for the month of April, this weekend (Rowe might be happy with one specific query that kept popping up).

I'm not sure what the story is with the NWA Showcase right now. They haven't uploaded a new episode for a few weeks now. I'm wondering if they're just off the air so they can come back with a vengeance (or, you know, they are unable to follow a consistent taping schedule).

The top 10 referrals all had roughly 20-30 hits. I think "wretlemania iv crowd" spawned 38 referrals. That's weird.

I'll admit to Googling myself ONCE (and I felt naughty and unfulfilled afterwards). But the other times have me a bit mystified/worried.

I figure that the recurring "da wrestling site" and "dawrestlingsite" queries are from DNS registrar services. Re-sellers and spammers running some queries to see if our domain name is worth a damn.

Divided the "Current reviews" section into 7 sub-catgeories: RAW, Smackdown, ECW, Impact, NWA Showcase, WWE PPV's, plus ROH & other.

Jillie asked if she could start reviewing Impact, so expect her stuff to show up pretty soon.

I'm glad to hear that Jillie is coming on board with the reviews. I look forward to seeing her stuff.

I started a new review this week, but it's a long show and I've been too distracted to sit down and finish it (I'm at 33% so far).

FYI, the NWA Showcase page isn't loading.

And a minor note, it's not really an internet show because it airs on a cable channel (admittedly a crappy cable channel, that only DISH network customers can see). I just happen to watch it on the internet because I don't have DISH and it's a lot more convenient.

I fixed a small error on that page that should correct it for you. You're using IE, right? As much as I dig Firefox, it's very forgiving when it comes to a site's code errors and isn't as picky.

FYI to all y'all: for the "featured review" I like to use something that can stay up there for one to two weeks, if possible. Which is why I don't put up featured pics for the current shows. Having a two week old spotlight on an episode of RAW would make the site look inactive, IMO.

I'll be honest, whether or not I review WWE pay-per-views usually depends on how easy it is to access them on video sites the day after.

I'll keep my eyes open for Jillie's reviews, today. I'm planning on doing some "internets-ing" this evening (8-11 MDT).

Looks like I'll be doing the latest 24/7 episode of Prime Time, as well. PTW's coming into the period when I started watching the WWF, regularly-- arond November 1987. So my extra enthusiasm might lead to more reviews.

A new World Class recap should see the light of screen, sometime next week.

Special heapin' batch of Cool Points to Jillie. Or, as they say on the streets, a "shout out". She submitted a review of last night's Impact less than an hour after it had aired! I added it to Da' Site, shortly after.

That has to be the quickest turnaround we've had for any recap. Less than an hour after it aired, the show's recap was on the site. Just thought that was kinda' cool.

I noticed that up this morning. You know, if we could become reliable like that, it'd get a lot of traffic to the site.

I can't promise I'll be able to watch Impact on Thursday nights every week. Sometimes my boyfriend demands my attention. Haha. I try to have it watched by the weekend, though, otherwise I go into wrestling withdrawl.

BTW, the real reason I came over to the feedback thread is to state that the flood control is chapping my ass. I have a limited amount of time on my lunch break to post stuff, and it's frustrating not being able to go as fast as I want to go. I understand the function of flood control, and if I'm the only one whining I will live with it, but it's seriously making me mental right now. Then again, that could just be PMS...

Flood control? We have a timing/posting limit on the board? Honestly, I was never aware of that. I can look into it and disable it, if it's appropriate.

EDIT: Found it. It was set at 30 seconds. I bumped it down to 5.

I remember I tried this a year ago and it didn't work...but now the domain name www.DaWrestlingBoard.com now resolves to Da' Board. It probably worked before, but I just wasn't aware of that.

Last year, it wouldn't keep you logged in if you opened a new tab or window. Seems to be okay, now. The old "s7" or "z7" links will always work, but if you'd rather bookmark or promote the full DaWrestlingBoard.com URL, that'd be cool.

I sent in a sports column/recap thing to ES/EvE and will do my best to add to the site whenever I can.

I started work on a new review today. I did about two hours of the program, and I have no idea how long this thing actually goes for (it's on a blank VHS tape) so I feel like I should have more to show for my work. I don't have time to keep working on it now, but hopefully I'll turn in some more progress tomorrow and the damn thing will actually end.

Whenever E shows up and feels like posting them, I have two reviews waiting in the wings now.

So anytime we want something posted on the site, we just email it to Big E?
