I couldn't find anywhere else to put this and if I am in the wrong spot, please feel free to move the post (or delete):
On 3/26, TNA filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Texas seeking the court to throw out the complaint filed by Konnan. Earlier in the month, Konnan served TNA Wrestling with lawsuit papers for racism and discrimination.
TNA is claiming Konnan signed a contract that made Ashenoff (Konnan) responsible for injuries suffered in the ring, and also agreed to not file a lawsuit for any damages based on participating in TNA.
In Konnan's lawsuit, Ashenoff alleged he had a hip injury, and TNA negligently failed to produce proper trainers, which resulted in renal failure due to his ingestion of painkillers while with TNA, as well as that he suffered from racial discrimination while performing for TNA.
Konnan claims TNA directed him to play a Hispanic sterotype, and racial discrimination and trademark infringement for the use of the LAX Logo.
In TNA's response, the company is asking that Konnan pay all of their attorney fees.

What a bitch Konnan is considering he was the one fucking pushing them for the LAX gimmick for like a year before it happened.

I wish I had all the information on this in one place.
At one point, Konnan was claiming that TNA promised to pay his medical bills and TNA was claiming that Konnan had borrowed money from them to pay his bills and had not paid them back.
It could end up being quite a mess but what bothers me is that after Konnan files the suit, Homicide and Hernandez are again out in front.
Is it a CYA move to try to prove TNA isn't doing anything that could be considered "racist"?
I'll be honest, I think TNA is still bitter over the fact that Konnan hit the talk show circuit after the Benoit shit happened talking about all of the drug use in wrestling.
I don't think the Renal Failure thing will stick, as he's admitted to using steroids and pain killers in the past, and that would be seen as leading to his kidneys screwing up more than painkillers after his hip surgery.
As for the stereotyping, he's been playing that character most of his American career. It's not their new and creative idea.
