Title: Monday Night Raw
Description: Floyd "Money" 'Mayweather

KSSassy - March 11, 2008 10:01 AM (GMT)
If Mayweather's agent didn't have a coronary or a stroke after last night I'll be shocked. Anything could have happened pulling a stunt like that!

SamoaRowe - March 11, 2008 04:56 PM (GMT)
I'll say. Mayweather's arm looked messed up as well. Either Mayweather is a great seller, or he hurt himself.

dynamite kido - March 11, 2008 05:14 PM (GMT)
Uh, pay me $20 million. I'd have cut my fucking arm off.

Also, Mayweather is fine. The injury is a work.

SamoaRowe - March 11, 2008 05:39 PM (GMT)
Good, I'd be heartbroken if I couldn't watch him "wrestle" the Big Show on the internet the day after Wrestlemania 24.

And after that wretched promo, he pretty much had to take a sick bump.

dynamite kido - March 11, 2008 05:43 PM (GMT)
Well apparently they are turning him heel. I'm guessing they didn't realize that nobody would give a shit and cheer him over a wrestler. The guy is a cocky douche, so I'm not thinking he's the most likeable guy or anything.

SamoaRowe - March 11, 2008 05:44 PM (GMT)
They need to do more to make Big Show a face then. Right now it feels like heel vs. heel, and I don't think that would go over well in front of the large Wrestlemania crowd (though there will probably be a large smark turnout that'll "ruin" the match either way).

dynamite kido - March 11, 2008 07:58 PM (GMT)
Well I wouldn't expect much more "face" work for Show. Last night is going to be what you are getting which is wrestling vs. boxing. The fans at Mania I'm sure will act accordingly.

SamoaRowe - March 11, 2008 08:49 PM (GMT)
If they really play up that aspect of this feud, then I think it'll work.

The match might still end up being an epic disaster. Either way, I'll be entertained.

- The big brawl during the Mayweather/Big Show Segment on Raw last night ended up becoming as close to a legit brawl as you can get. The segment as a whole was planned, but according to WWE sources several members of Mayweather's posse went into business for themselves trying to show how tough they were. WWE wrestlers fought back, but most if it was lost due to the camera angles.

- According to PWInsider.com, one wrestler said that Mayweather's crew, "Got their asses handed to them." Another wrestler mentioned that, "The company was 10-seconds away from having a legit beat down take place on TV." Shane McMahon was knocked down during the brawl, and afterwards there was a lot of tension between the two sides.

I like Mayweather as a heel, I must say. He has the real-life douchebaginess that everyone can despise, much like K Fed. Who cares if K Fed could wrestle or not, but that was still fun to see.

I'm not buying that shit until Meltz confirms. I didn't think it was legit at all while watching it.

I wasn't planning on paying much attention to Raw last night but I couldn't help watching it since Ric Flair is truly retiring. If you didn't see it, they showed some of his title wins throughout the show and one of them was him taking the NWA title away from Harley Race :(

I remember that match. I normally watched Flair and cheered for him but when he was up against Race he didn't have a chance of getting my support.

I neglected to mention the return of Cryme Tyme on Raw and I read that WWE plans to move CM Punk to Raw.

But then I read notes from a fan that Punk was a real jerk during one of his autograph sessions while he was in Orlando. While I understand that anyone can have a bad day and I wouldn't like to have to sit and sign and smile for the whole world on schedule, not getting over with the fans could hurt his career. With the problems he already seems to be having with the roster, he could be putting a few nails in his coffin.

I guess if Punk moves to Raw, that sends the new ECW champion, Kane, to ECW. And I'm still wondering why WWE keeps ECW on the air as a separate brand.

Cryme Tyme's return was a nifty surprise. It was cool that it didn't get leaked, though with all the big news from the past few days it was easy for them to sneak in under the radar.

The entire world had their attention on the retirement of Ric Flair.

WWE could have hired the entire TNA roster and no one would have noticed until they showed up in the ring
