Title: 2008 DVD Releases

Erick Von Erich - January 10, 2008 04:56 PM (GMT)
This has been passed around/re-posted, with original credit coming from Dave Meltzer and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Tentative plans for the 2008 WWE DVD schedule

2/12: The Legacy of Stone Cold Steve Austin

3/25: Triple H: King of Kings

5/6: Evolution of the Hardys (they evolved?)

6/3: The Rock

7/8: Best of Starrcade

8/5: Summerslam anthology (rumored to be all 20)

8/5: The Life and Times of Mr. Perfect (could be a good package, considering they have access to his early 80's WWF stuff, plus his AWA stuff)

11/4: Edge

11/18: Randy Savage:Macho Madness (Weird. Could be a re-release of an old home video)

12/9: Sting (Gotta' admit, that'd be frickin' sweet. Especially if they have include some UWF stuff)

Solid shit right there. I'd definitely pick up the Macho Man/Hennig ones.

I want Sting! I want Sting!

Brian Pillman RULES! - January 13, 2008 04:21 PM (GMT)
I'm getting the Edge one, as well as some of the others.

Savage, Perfect and Sting will all be mine. I really, REALLY hope we get a Macho man cameo out of this, (if it's true).

Bummer for you then....

-- According to the Wrestling Observer the Sting and Randy Savage DVDs that were scheduled for release this year are cancelled. Kevin Dunn was told to create a list of "big names" that WWE could release DVDs for. Among the other names he came up with were Steve Austin, The Rock and Mr. Perfect. Vince McMahon nixed the Sting and Savage DVDs because he still wants nothing to do with Savage and Sting recently signed a new deal with TNA.

Oh..then I guess the WWE's list of "Tenative DVD Releases for 2008" was like my "Tenative Lists of Broads I Wanna' Bang for 2008". I was scheduled to bang Selma Hayek and Crush from American Gladiators, but both were cancelled.

In leiu of those....I guess there's hope that the long-sought after "From Mudlick to MSG: The Hillbilly Jim Story" might see the light of day. With over eight minutes of special features.

The Last Free Voice - January 15, 2008 02:53 PM (GMT)
Best of Starrcade could be real good. Or, I suppose, they could drop the ball royally. That's still one I'll look out for.

I thought it was funny that they were doing the Sting and Macho Man DVD's in the first place.

Go figure, the two on the top of my list.
