Guys... we've had a few issues come up that are worth mentioning.

1-- Focus.
Unless it's something like "the OAO post whoring thread" or our other designated juvenile areas, please try to focus on the topic at hand. It seems recently several topics have spiraled out of control and by the third page they're incredibly removed from the conversation.

Why this may seem like "hey, we're just TALKING, you curmudgeon", this makes it hard to reply to anything. For instance, I've been in a few of these tangent threads and I come back within the hour and I can't remember WHERE the hell I was talking about something.

2--Advancement.
Really, try to advance a thread. This ties into #1 in more ways that you figure. It also ties into ....

3-- Ancient History.
While it's nice once or twice...I have to question the purpose of dredging up something from THREE YEARS ago. Unless you have something incredibly important to add to a 36 month old conversation, it's somewhat embarrassing for us to dig up the past. We've all changed or matured since this board started and some of those old threads are incredibly weak and reflect negatively on the current "State of DWB". They're good archives... but they're not good active discussion.

I can see how a bump might be pertinent to old reviews. But that's about it. Bumping stuff like Rowe's old screenname from a different board or launching the site that's been up for 7 months are worthless. An old bump or two will always happen.. but to add additional replies to it and keep it going, like it's a new thread, are detrimental to the overall board.

If you really really want to dig up an oldie... why not add *gasp*.. a new thread?!

In summary, THINK before you post.

This is not aimed at anyone in particular( so please, no apologetic posts from anyone) .. but I think we all need to think about these points.

Oh yeah, we've also had some negativity towards the whole "Geist Army vs. Emo Cage" thing. I don't see how DWB is the place for that.

This board got active in the 2 weeks I was gone. In fact, I have no idea what is going on in 75% of these posts...someone catch me up.

So far I've gathered that jamiegeist has pulled a heel turn on his buddy Cage Effect and now runs his board (wha?) and they are at odds, but both still seemingly posting HERE. And apparently DWB is okay in their book again. I thought we were the enemy.
