Title: TheTCE.net -- Reborn!
jamiegeist - January 1, 2008 05:20 AM (GMT)
So you guys know I have always been a fan of the community known as The Cage Effect, and while we've had our differences, for one reason or another, it really has always been a good place for discussion.
Unfortunately the board had fallen on hard times, with technical errors, little things popping up, domain and server financial issues, etc.
Hence:
TheTCE.net
Check it out please -- would love to have all of you. DWB's very own Samoa Rowe will be the Mod of the Wrestling Forum.

It's a very good board so far--worth a visit, definitely. :)

This was the nice way of saying "Myself and Rob from TCE hijacked the forum from Cage and started our own with the same name. Come support our cause!"
Darryl The Hitman - January 1, 2008 07:15 PM (GMT)
Well, it definitely had technical errors. The rest I cannot speak to, so I won't.
Big F'N Swigg - January 2, 2008 03:15 PM (GMT)
So Cage's Catcher hijacked the forum from Cage himself? Interesting
jamiegeist - January 2, 2008 03:59 PM (GMT)
Generally, that would be true. Although history will tell it as such -- I look at it as a dictator unwilling to make necessary changes being overthrown by a coup from his posters.
He didn't want to fix shit or relaunch at the request of his community, so we relaunched it, and everyone followed.

So is it posting on the internet that makes you a nerd, or does being a nerd lead you to post on the internet?
It's the new chicken and the egg, you know?

After you all had already created the new domain name, set up new forums, etc.

Yay! More chances for people to make gigantic bandwidth-sucking Photoshop molestations with Shawn Michaels and John Cena!!

I'm also betting that Cage has never really been robbed.
This thread is kinda for the ghey's you know.
Erick Von Erich - January 2, 2008 09:16 PM (GMT)
snif...but he has been robbed, DK. His heart and soul have been robbed. What kind of world do we live in; where someone can rob you of these immaterial, yet valuable things?!
Only by announcing this on an Internets message board can the healing process begin... and then, maybe, just maybe, we can all learn to become better people.

I WAS A VICTIM, DAMNIT!
...
Big F'N Swigg - January 3, 2008 03:36 AM (GMT)
IT'S STILL REAL TO HIM, DAMMIT!
Darryl The Hitman - January 3, 2008 03:59 AM (GMT)
I was a nerd long before I posted on the 'Net...
...for the record. ;)
jamiegeist - January 3, 2008 06:14 AM (GMT)
Only DWB could make this more awesome....
and you have.
Erick Von Erich - January 3, 2008 07:00 AM (GMT)
BTW, why am I not surprised that you bought your domain through GoDaddy? Or that you didn't keep your registration information private?
It's a little funny that the URL is "THE tce dot net". So you're kinda' saying "The The Cage Effect". But The The had some nifty tunes in the late 80's and early 90's.
But hey, we'll sometimes slip and call it "the DWB..." So we're kinda' saying "The Da' Wrestling Board".
jamiegeist - January 3, 2008 07:15 AM (GMT)
Its actually a bit of an inside TCE joke, an extension of Bret Hart always calling fucking EVERYTHING THE _________. Here in The WCW, here at The Summerslam, etc.
Just kind of took on a life of its own. And whats wrong with GoDaddy? I seriously don't even know any other options. Just needed a domain. And SHOULD I keep my info private?
Darryl The Hitman - January 3, 2008 07:18 AM (GMT)
I actually liked that he called everything "The". I don't know why because it made no sense but it helped him stand out and maybe I thought he was showing everything as much respect as he could.
I don't think he ever called it "The WrestleMania" though but maybe I missed it.
