Title: Comment that doesn't warrant a thread

But there is nowhere else to put it:

I just had the idea "Hey, why not see if I can go to a Predators game this year. I may have some extra cash when my student loan kicks in, and some time on my hands."

So I check for tickets. First of all, the NHL websites SUCK. Secondly, they use Ticketmaster. That right there is a two minute penalty. Then, ticket prices, for the Nashville Predators mind you, are expensive. Unless you want Upper level seats, you're shelling out at least $60! Now, maybe I'm just spoiled by the $20 centerfield seats at Great American Ballpark, or the fact that ALL seats are just $40 at Neyland Stadium, but that's a bit nuts to me. It shows me why the NHL is going downhill fast.

I can assume because of the up-close-and-personal action (and there's only 41 home games), that's why it's so much. It can't be worse than the NBA's $1,000+ court-side seats.

My own little comment: Does anyone really care about women's sports... for their athletic ability?

I care about quite a few women's sports, actually. Jello wrestling, pumpkin pie wrestling and baby oil wrestling. Foxy boxing has a ways to go before I start checking websites for real-time updates of it.

I have no intimate knowledge of the NHL, but I know that "lower bowl" seats for the Avalanche run about 120-300 bucks. Most are owned by corporations.

Your best bet is probably to look on Da' Site. The "NHL Standings" page usually has a decent list of hockey ticket vendors advertising on the right side. I clicked through one and saw Avs/Sharks tickets for 29 bucks.

Thing is, I don't mind that the rink-side tickets are expensive. I mind that everything else but the nosebleed section is. You should at least have one section of good seats for a value price. If I could find decent seats NOT high up for around $40, no problem. But the seat prices go from $25 to $65 with no in-between, and that doesn't include "service charge" from Ticketmaster.

I clicked through and found tickets for the Predators Dec 13 game ("1st row, blue line upper") for 48 bucks each. Section 324, Row A. Is that high up?

Top level, but you're saving about 10 bucks

Since I hate women's sports I'll further derail this.

That foxy boxing line reminds me of The Simpsons when they get the Tennis Court put in.

(Bart and Lisa hitting a Tennis ball back and forth with Tennis rackets)

HOMER: What the hell are you two doing?

Lisa: Practicing tennis.

HOMER: AWHWHW! That's what that is. What's the one where the two chicks whale on each other?

Bart: Foxy Boxing?

HOMER: YEAH! That's EXACTLY what I wanted. ::cries::
