Title: I'm feeling down

Scrooge McSuck - November 23, 2007 05:26 PM (GMT)
I don't like bringing up my personal business, but I just have to vent. I've had an "easy" life for the most part. I never had to deal with real life problems before. Now I'm just over-whelmed by everything. I have a shit job, my hours have been cut because business hasn't picked up yet, I'm trying to help my mother out and support my girlfriend, my phone bill is becoming a pain in the ass to the point I don't have the funds to have myt service carry over until the beginning of December, my T.V. just blew out, so I don't have money to replace that, and that in turn makes mtyt VCR/DVD combo useless because it was only compatably with that TV (among the rest in my house). I got paid today, and have nothing left from the check, and the holidays are here and that just pisses me off more because right now, I don't have any money to buy anyone anything. Sorry for the ranting, but I'm just really fucked in the head right now and had to let it out. I just can't wait 'til I have REAL problems (rent, more bills). Then you'll never hear from me again because I'll either kill myself or die from a heart attack. lol.

Erick Von Erich - November 23, 2007 06:53 PM (GMT)
I'll pay you 100 dollars if you can bounce a basketball 10 times. Moowahahahahahaha!

Naw...yer' mah boy Scrooge, so I'm sorry to hear about the crunch you're in. It always seems impossible to get a new job when you're already in a job; but with some extra time you can, most likely, find a new gig with more hours and better pay.

TV? Don't sweat it. There's nothing really good on right now, anyways. As long as you have the Internets, you'll be covered.

Remember, you are Fort Scrooge-- nothing can get you down or hurt you without your permission.

Dude, I know I normally just fuck with you on here but honestly I know where you are coming from. Recently my dad had a stroke and my mom has a ton of health problems to begin with. I haven't worked much in the last month and a half and I'm pretty fucking broke going into the Christmas season. So I'm not going to be able to hook up much of anything for people for the holidays and I'm still helping my mom and dad out at home as much as I can. My job sucks, I've been looking elsewhere for sometime and nothing is happening because I refuse to take a pay in cut to work somewhere else. So try and take it all in stride, I know shit can be tough, but you have to hang in there. You'll see that something good will somehow come from all the shit. Also, and I'm not being a dick here but you're supporting your girlfriend? WTF? You aren't married yet, so I don't see a reason where you need to financially support her, and if there is a reason that I'm missing I do apologize ahead of time. That wasn't my intent.

Anyway, I hope everything gets better for you. Remember Christmas is supposedly the most depressing time of the year for a lot of people, so just know that it's hard for a lot of people out there right now. Maybe you can do something to build your morale. Go volunteer at a soup kitchen over the holidays....that'll make you at least feel like your in a better position than you though for sure.

Scrooge McSuck - November 23, 2007 07:42 PM (GMT)
I should've phrased that better. Not fully supporting her, but she's been having problems herself that keep her from working full-time, and I've been helping her out a bit until she can. It's not like she was begging me for anything, I offered to help her because I know she'll have a hard time with the limited income she makes. Hopefully by the end of January she'll have something to fall back on. It's been a pretty rough tride for both of us the whole summer, which is partly why I never signed on here. Just a lot of drama and problems that had to be sifted through.

whitemilesdavis - November 23, 2007 08:44 PM (GMT)
Hope things cool out for you guys. It's a bad time for life to be sucking, but everything is temporary and nothing turns out as bad as it seems. Other than being way too busy, I've got it pretty good right now.

Mad Dog - November 24, 2007 12:15 AM (GMT)
I had the job thing last year. I pretty much said "fuck it" quit and then landed in a job I like a lot better. I'm not saying do that or anything. Just what I did. I've had some other issues in life and I find what works best for me is to just leave work at work and home at home. It's hard when both suck ass but it helps keeps things in perspective for me. But then work tends to be my escape from the crap going on in my day to day life.

If you're hours are getting cut you could try landing a part time holiday job. You could probably make enough to buy some presents being a mall Santa or something like that. Or you could try to land a job at a place that sells tvs to get a discount.

Also, WMD gives good advice. Nothing lasts forever. We all have our trying times and it does suck but things do get better eventually. It'll make you a stronger man in the long run. Just keep that in mind.

TheEmVeePee - November 24, 2007 12:44 AM (GMT)
Sorry bout your troubles Scrooge. Doesn't sound cool, and I know its hard to bring your problems to a place like this, but sometimes it just helps to get it out there in the open.

I don't really know how old you are or anything, so it may not apply, but...

I had a buddy who lived at home with his Mom and Dad till he was like 23. He was constantly stressed and light on cash because he had to support his parents. Granted, his parents weren't in any bad situations, but instead were just worthless and couldn't keep a job of their own. It was the best thing he ever did when he distanced himself from them, got out on his own, got his own place, and had to worry about HIMSELF first, and let them be secondary. Its hard for some people to do, but he's told me that it was a decision that if he hadn't made, he didn't know how long he would fall into that trap and stay home for that reason.

Again, not being a dick, or trying to suggest your parents are worthless. Just saying that alot of times, people forget to worry about themselves, and spend all their time, money, and sanity on the happiness of others.

Mad Dog - November 24, 2007 01:27 AM (GMT)
Shit happens though. My parents make pretty good money but it's come up before where they've needed me to loan them $500. It's just the way life is sometimes.

Sorry to hear you're going through some stressful times. Personally, I know the holidays have been a burden on my bank account too. Good to know you are dating that girl now, it's nice that you're trying to support her.

Is Rowe gonna cheer Scrooge up with some naked pictures or what?

Maybe him laying on a bed, naked, covering only his special parts with Heroes of Wrestling tapes?

SamoaRowe - November 24, 2007 05:24 PM (GMT)
... Dammit, now I have to think of something else to send.

Luckily, I still have DK's address, so this should be his warning to not open anything that says "Rowe's Exotic Island" on the package.

prof_plague - November 24, 2007 11:37 PM (GMT)
...His package.

Room cleared up in my inbox now.

EEEEEEEEEEEEW.

(throws up more) Oh, the only good news is that I lost about 25 pounds since I last was regularly on (June?), so hurray for a fat bastard losing a pimple.

SamoaRowe - November 26, 2007 09:01 PM (GMT)
I'd just like to say that I haven't lost any weight since June and I don't anticipate losing any soon.

On the other hand I haven't gained any weight either.

dynamite kido - November 27, 2007 10:14 PM (GMT)
I also haven't gained or lost weight either. I would also like to add I'm pretty motherfuckin sexy.

I've grown a beard

That reminds me. Guess what kind of facial hair I'm rockin these days?

user posted image

Fuck yeah.

Scrooge McSuck - November 28, 2007 03:25 PM (GMT)
I did that for a while back in September. It wasn't really planned. I accidentally trimmed off a section of my beard around the chin, and simplyt shaved that area, leaving that look. I looked like I aged 10 years over the course of 5 minutes.

Big F'N Swigg - November 28, 2007 04:41 PM (GMT)
I'm planning on that soon. Once winter dies down and the beard isn't really as neccessary

SamoaRowe - November 28, 2007 08:36 PM (GMT)
I maintain the "Don't shave until my facial hair starts to look bad" routine. I'm way too lazy to maintain a stylized beard, I haven't done it since high school.
