If you're like me-- and I know I am-- you've wondered who the hell Swoll was. He was a big untalented lunk who wrestled with Master P's "No Limit Soldiers". Mostly on Thunder, circa July 1999 with the devastating Heart Punch finisher.
When he debutted, the WCW announcers kept saying he was a former Denver Bronco. Being an expert in all things Bronco, I was perplexed, as I couldn't identify the guy. For years I would ask "who was Swoll" and nobody could help. Few people in Denver know any Broncos outside of the quarterback and even fewer watched Thunder.
Finally...my ship came in. Tonight, somebody emailed me and informed me that Swoll was Randy Thornton. A defensive lineman who played for the team in 1988 and 1989. Wikipedia incorrectly cites Thornton as having played for the 1997 and 1998 Super Bowl champs, though.
..and now ya' know.
