Title: August 2007 DWS feedback!
Description: What the world keeps watching...

eStragand - August 1, 2007 11:31 PM (GMT)
Fans, we are counting down the days until the end of August!! This will, undoubtedly be the Greatest Month in the History of Our Website! Pick up your phone. Call your friend and tell them to tune in!

I'll getcha' some amusing site referrals for last month (July), tonight. But in the meantime, I thought you might want to know that DWB favorite "The Ass" is now on our MySpace "Friends" list.

BTW...where the hell's Scrooge?

SamoaRowe - August 1, 2007 11:54 PM (GMT)
I don't know... I should go see if his 24/7 online account still works.

SamoaRowe - August 2, 2007 01:13 AM (GMT)
This might turn out to be a mistake, but I posted my ROH FYF:NYC review at the ROH boards with a link to the site included.

eStragand - August 2, 2007 04:13 AM (GMT)
No, no, no... no mistake at all. Relevant links are generally a good way to build Google traffic, not necessarily people traffic.

I have in my hand.. the Top 10 Keyword Referrals for the Month of July 2007:

10. mvp malcolm x tattoo
9. lance cade
8. dawrestlingsite
7. da wrestling site
6. thomas pagliaro
5. checkmate wccw
4. kevin von erick
3. kerry von erick
2. von erick wrestling
1. alexa thatcher

I'm guessing Alexa Thatcher must be kinda' cute. This also proves that people STILL couldn't correctly spell "Von Erich" if their lives depended on it. Assuming my new handle was the best thing I've done for the site, so far!

SamoaRowe - August 2, 2007 01:52 PM (GMT)
Alexa Thatcher isn't bad looking at all, and I think it's funny that she keeps popping up on the search. It makes me feel proud for having reviewed her match at FYF:NYC.

Also, my review at the ROH board has no feedback, but it has 47 views, which is promising.

eStragand - August 2, 2007 07:12 PM (GMT)
If there's one thing I've learned since operating a website, it's that people like hot chicks. For years, I recapped Bronco games religiously and got zero feedback or traffic. As soon as I started mentioning the names of their cheerleaders, traffic shot up. Darn you, Renee Herlocker, for upstaging my recaps!!

Someone else voted on my blog poll!!!

Someone else voted on my blog poll!!!

Your wife has Internet access, too?!!

The Last Free Voice - August 3, 2007 04:54 AM (GMT)
I hope to have my NIN review done by Monday or Tuesday.

Roy Preppy - August 3, 2007 04:17 PM (GMT)
I just posted 3 new blogs, one of which I bash the shit out of David Beckham to no end. The other is a great soccer video about the greatest player that ever lived. So if anyone cares or simply wants to waste time... http://dawrestlingsite.com/blogs/roypreppy/

SamoaRowe - August 7, 2007 03:51 PM (GMT)
I just e-mailed a new review to ES.

Also, I was hoping that ES could add my Heroes of Wrestling and December to Dismember reviews if he got the chance :).

eStragand - August 7, 2007 10:59 PM (GMT)
Hey, check it out: Scrooge apparently told his mysterious "girlfriend" about Da' Site and she sent us a MySpace Friend Request!

SamoaRowe - August 8, 2007 04:04 AM (GMT)
She looks pretty much how I'd imagined her.

Big F'N Swigg - August 8, 2007 12:36 PM (GMT)
She's thinner than I thought.

And where is our resident sleazebag?

eStragand - August 9, 2007 03:52 PM (GMT)
Okay you attention-whoring weenies: I re-ordered our MySpace "Friends" list, so you guys are on top.

But I kept Verne Gagne as #1, since he's basically the greatest human being in the cosmos.

Plus, Jimmy Valiant cuz' he had six or seven old ladies.

Plus, DWB favorite The Ass.

Topped off with Casa Fuckin' Bonita.

That'll be it for awhile, now.

Casa Bonita, Casa Bonita! Food and fun in a festive atmoshpere!

SamoaRowe - August 9, 2007 05:26 PM (GMT)
On a side note, I found the Dr. Strange review to a really good read. It increased my chances of actually watching it when it hits shelves to something like 65%.

eStragand - August 9, 2007 08:44 PM (GMT)
umm... "The Dangeorus One??!"

I'd better be carfeul. The Dangeorus One might get vioelnt on me!

Tempest - August 9, 2007 11:17 PM (GMT)
Great.

So, I'm bored out of my cotton-pickin' mind at the moment. And I'm looking for something to review. I've got three choices;

1. Wrestlewar 1989

2. Chi-Town Rumble

3. WCW Halloween Havoc 1993

I'd like to see one of these potentially added to the main site. Now I realize its up to ES, and that's cool, but I'm putting together a little pre-college writing portfolio and I think if some of my stuff was "published" it might make me look a tad bit better in the eyes of my professor. So it'd be greatly appreciated if indeed you could publish whichever review I wind up doing.

Also, as a heads up, I'm working on a couple CD reviews for another site. I'm not sure if they'd really "fit in" here, but I'm going to post them up later anyway.

Tempest - August 9, 2007 11:38 PM (GMT)
Oh and ES, think you could hook me up with a blog on the main site, like the rest of the guys here have?

Abso-smurf-ly.

Everyone else something set up with Blogger.com. Set up an account there, then send me the URL and I'll link you in.

Or if you already have an existing blog you'd like to use, I can do that, as well.

Oh...and I vote for WrestleWar 89.

Just for the record, you don't mind the new sig?

Oh, and is a Myspace blog good enough?

eStragand - August 10, 2007 05:16 AM (GMT)
I like hot chicks...but I'd recommend losing the sig. I'd strongly suggest going with an image that is 100 pixels in height or width, maximum. A smaller file size would be great, too. Like under 100Kb.

Right now, when I turn images on, I see two lines of text and the rest of my screen is filled with some dumb blonde. And I have a big screen. There's a place for viewing and saving big pictures of broads--it's called Your Computer. The Internet is not your computer.

Back to your question-- I suppose a MySpace blog would work out. Whichever you're most comfortable posting on. If your MySpace blog has been around for awhile and has some built-in reader ship, that'll help.

Some people automatically turn away when they see anything to do with MySpace. So I say: if you have an existing MySpace blog, we'll go with that. But if you're starting a brand-new blog for the sake of the Site, go with Blogger.

I'm only doing it to try and get people to my blog, and therefore the site.

And shut up, I was bored at work.

SamoaRowe - August 10, 2007 02:19 PM (GMT)
Tempest:

1) I'd like to see your Chi-Town Rumble review.

2) Please do something about your sig. That picture is going to get me into big trouble with my lady sooner or later.

dynamite kido - August 10, 2007 02:24 PM (GMT)
Glad people got to Tempest about his sig. That wouldn't have went over well at work for me...

SamoaRowe - August 10, 2007 02:34 PM (GMT)
By the way, check out my blog sometime tomorrow afternoon. I'm going to update it with a live report of tonight's Death Before Dishonor Night 1 show in Boston.

eStragand - August 10, 2007 03:36 PM (GMT)
The signature's been shortened for now. No hard feelings towards Tempy, though.

I did a write-up for Wednesday night's Rush concert at Red Rocks. I'm hesitant to add it to our "music" section, since I don't think it'll fit in. It's on my site, but it's appropriate there and feeds off of my previous Rush concert review.

Yes, no hard feelings towards Tempest at all.

As far as your Rush write-ups, why not post both :).

eStragand - August 10, 2007 04:20 PM (GMT)
Okay, okay...I went ahead and posted it. I just realized that's it's 100% appropriate, since they're the guys who did Kerry Von Erich's theme music.

:D

I mark out for new reviews on da site.

Real F'n Show - August 10, 2007 11:54 PM (GMT)
It's great that The Ass™ digs Da Wrestling Site (okay, okay, just acknowledges our existence).

And before the month is over I'll have my very first review in to the site. Although I don't know what it will be yet. Yes, suggestions welcome. Oh, and a blog will probably follow shortly thereafter.

That's the weekly RFS update since you've all been wondering where the hell I've been (or hadn't noticed I was gone).

eStragand - August 11, 2007 04:31 AM (GMT)
Who?

SamoaRowe - August 11, 2007 02:21 PM (GMT)
Okay, I've tried posting my live report of last night's show on my blog four times now, and each time the post doesn't show up on the actual blog, but it's saved in my archived posts in my account. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Nevermind, it's working now.

SamoaRowe - August 13, 2007 03:01 PM (GMT)
Due to popular demand, I have updated my random match thread with a new match... I won't tell you what, but I'll give you a hint... it's a 1990 match from AJPW.

It'll be on my blog too :).

Just a quick note, now that soccer season has started, I'll be posting blogs alot more regularly than before. Minimum 2-3 times a week if not more. For anyone who cares, I just wrote an article on why Beckham is the smartest player alive, using his injury to collect his money and not play. Good read:)

Nice, it's really good to see you contributing (I just wish I followed soccer). I'll still be popping over to your blog, to give you hits and such :).
