Personally, I think you could find worse re-makes than The Out of Towners, Ladykillers, and Meet Joe Black.

The Ladykillers was a pretty fantastic movie, actually. My second favorite Cohen brothers movie.

Actually, of the list, "Island of Dr. Moreau" shold take top honors. That was just a messed up flick.

Yeah, they did Fargo.

Big Lebowski is one of my favorite movies ever, partially because of John Goodman's character, and partially because my Father In Law is a dead ringer for "The Dude"
