Title: What CD should I review?

The Last Free Voice - July 19, 2007 05:09 PM (GMT)
For a few reasons my Smashing Pumpkins review just didn't come together (I'm not familiar enough with their older material, the different versions and multiple extra tracks, my inability to put my thoughts together coheisvely...) so I'm left wondering what I should review. Nothing that's come out all that recently has caught my fancy, and I'm not really looking foreward to anything until Mid-August, when CexCells comes out.

So, DWBers, help me out here. New CD's I've bought this year are:

NIN- Year Zero
VNV Nation- Judgement
The Horrors- Strange House
The Icarus Line- Black Lives At The Golden Coast
The Dear And Departed- Something Quite Peculiar
Tiger Army- Music from Regions Beyond
Circa Survive- On Letting Go
Modest Mouse- We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank
The Arcade Fire- Neon Bible
Bad Brains- Build A Nation

Out of those, I liked YZ, Judgement and Strange House the best. So what should I review? Or should I go with something older?

Help me out here. I really have no idea what kind of music review would be appropriate for a primarily wrestling site...

Go with the Brains.

I'm about to do the Muse disc.

Black Holes and Revelations? Hmm. I have that one sitting around somewhere... perhaps we could both do it and somehow combine them together?

And I was thinking that either NIN or Bad Brains would be most known to wrestling fans, so those would be the way to go.

Don't worry about what you think wrestling fans would want. Don't worry about what we want... write what you want. I know, it's tough.

Hell, I'd settle for a "Best of the Jets" bargain CD.

I'm going to go with Bad Brains first. I'd like to do something that would at least hold some people's interest, rather than a review just for the sake of having more stuff up, you know?

Right, which is 90% of my CD's.

I'd say the NIN, the Modest Mouse, and the Arcade Fire

I'd say the NIN, the Modest Mouse, and the Arcade Fire

Those are the exact three I was going to encourage. Good thinking, Swigg-man.

Next I'm reviewing Year Zero, then (most likely) Neon Bible.
