- Yep. Its that show. I'm not going to bore you with the obvious details here. We all know what fat piece of shit wrestler wins the crown and gets an atrocious push following that.
Savio Vega vs. IRS
If you like Savio Vega than this show is definitely for you. This is one of his four (4) matches of the evening. This is from the Free For All to determine the final King Of The Ring participant.
IRS is out first with Ted Dibiase, followed by Savio with his fellow Latin-American (or so they say,) Razor Ramon.
A lockup is teased, Irwin goes to some kicking and punching instead. He tries a bodyslam but Savio counters with a cradle for two. Back up Savio hits the ropes on either side and gets a sunset flip for two. Irwin goes to some stomping as Savio is coming back to his feet. He punches away in the corner and Savio eats buckles off a whip but avoids an Irwin charge and gets a rollup for two. Side headlock takeover by Savio now. Irwin rolls him into a brief two count and does it again a moment later. Irwin fights his way back up and shoots Savio off. Savio runs him down with a shoulderblock. Off the ropes Irwin catches him with a hiptoss, Savio blocks and gets one of his own. Savio with a pretty crappy dropkick for two. Savio goes back to the side headlock now. He's really working it in now. Suddenly we cut to a shot of the announcers, uhh, announcing. Back inside it seems that Irwin managed to send Savio to the floor. We didn't get to see it, because the Spanish announcers are just that important.
Irwin continues his offensive advantage by stomping Savio on the apron before sending him back in. He gets a bodyslam and heads up top, but comes off and eats a Savio boot to the mush. Savio seems to come alive and goes to the clubberin' topped off wth a goofy as shit dancing wind-up punch. Awesome.... A back elbow knocks Irwin on his ass and a snap-suplex gets two. Back up, Irwin eats another whip, but bails before Savio can nail a kick. Savio follows him and throws him back in instead of just taking the easy win (idiot) and takes a kick to the head as he comes back inside. The finish comes a moment later following a Savio whip and spinning leg lariat.
Winner: Savio Vega
Rating: 3/4*- Not much of a match here. It didn't suck, but it wasn't that great either.
Now the show starts proper.
Yokozuna vs. Savio Vega- First Round Match
Good lord man Yoko's really ballooned to Marlon Brando-esque proportions here. I can't believe he can stand much less wrestle.
Yoko waves his Japanese flag to start. Savio goes to the top rope to flash his double American/Latin American flag. I don't care.
On to the action; lockup to start. Savio gets a side headlock. Yoko shoots him off and gets a shoulderblock that puts Savio down. Back to the lockup, Yoko presses him to the ropes and chops away. Savio eats a whip, ducks a clothesline, and eats a backelbow on the way back through. Yoko misses an elbow drop, and Savio goes to some clubberin'. He wrings the arm and hammers on it. Yoko muscles him into the corner moments later and hammers his way out. Savio fights out with some more punching and smashes Yoko a few times into the buckles. Savio tries to follow up with his "devastating" leg lariat, but Yoko ducks and Savio crashes and burns. Yoko follows up with some stomping and some punching in the corner. Savio rolls out of the way before Yoko tries the Banzai Drop. Yoko stalks him and eats a few chops. Yoko shuts him down with a headbutt. Savio retreats to the corner and gets choked over the top rope. Yoko nails a snapmare now and does his best Spock impersonation with a nerve pinch. Savio fights out after a little bit with some elbows. Savio charges Yoko and gets tossed over the top.
Razor "helps" his buddy by throwing him back in to a waiting Yokozuna. Yoko tries a punch, Savio blocks and clubbers away. Yoko does his little "shaky fat guy" sell before falling on his ass but stops short and gets a throat thrust. He chokes Savio in the corner. Savio eats a bodyslam but avoids Yoko's ass/leg drop. Savio "Savio's Up" moments later and opens up with some more punching. A clothesline doesn't knock Yoko down. A second and third fail to do so, as well. A fourth one goes unsold.
Savio finally drops Yoko with his spinning leg lariat. Savio decks an interfering Jim Cornette who's up on the apron. On the floor Razor chases Corny. Owen Hart (in a tux for some reason) attacks Razor from behind. Savio chases Owen. Yoko tries to attack Savio on the floor, Savio beats him to the punch, but gets slammed into the apron for his troubles. The finish comes when Yoko tries a running splash, but Savio moves and Yoko eats some steps leading to a count out.
Winner: Savio Vega
Rating: 3/4*- Boring match with a countout finish, but at least they tried.
"The Roadie" Jesse James vs. "Sparky Plug" Bob Holly- First Round Match
Well here's a portion of each partcipants careers I'm sure they'd like to forget; Roadie is still Jeff Jarrett's bitch/lackey and Bob is still a goofy racecar driver.
Apparently Roadie beat the one and only Doink to get here. Sparky beat the half-man, half- "what the hell is that thing, anyway?" Mantaur to get here.
Just imagine how awesome this match would be if the losing half of those two matches were wrestling here instead. :D
To the action; Roadie charges, Holly gets a sloppy kinda-powerslam thing for two. A running shoulderblock gets Holly another two. He repeats it again for the same result. A sunset flip gets a fourth two count for Holly. Holly gets an inside cradle for two. Roadie bails. Back inside we get a lockup, both men go to the corner and Holly breaks clean but eats a slap. Holly tries a punch but the ref stops him and Roadie hammers away. He follows it up with a kick and some clubbing blows. Holly reverses a whip, goes under, gets a leapfrog and shoudlerblock. Roadie goes down, Holly tries a hiptoss, Roadie blocks but can't get one of his own as Holly snags him with an armdrag followed by a whip and a hiptoss. Holly hits a bodyslam for two. Holly tries another whip, Roadie goes over the top. Holly comes off the ropes with a hurricanranna but gets stuffed with a nice short powerbomb. Roadie, firmly in control, dances and then stomps Holly. Roadie with some punches in the corner and Holly eats a hard whip into the buckles. Roadie goes to the eyes, raking them. Roadie continues with some punching in the corner, Holly eats another hard whip to the buckle. Roadie does some goofy dancing shit now before dropping a couple elbows.
Roadie with a snapmare and a chinlock in mid-ring center. Holly fights up to a standing position and punches his way out before getting a running rollup. Roadie falls into the ropes, Holly comes back to his feet and eats a clothesline moments later. Roadie does some more retarded dancing and drops an elbow before going back to the chinlock. Holly fights out with some punching, he hits the ropes but takes a kick. A Roadie piledriver is blocked and countered with a backdrop.
Both men come back to their feet, Holly is whipped off but comes back with a flying headscissor. Holly avoids a clothesline and nails a pretty dropkick. Holly goes to some punching now. A couple punches gets two. Holly gets a powerslam off the ropes for two. Back up, Roadie begs off in the corner and kicks Holly. A superplex is blocked and Holly jumps into a Roadie boot. That gets three, oddly enough.
Winner: The Roadie
Rating: **- A perfectly acceptable little wrestling match between two of the WWF's young guns. I'm surprised they gave them so long, but that's not inherently a bad thing.
- Oh, and incidentally, you can turn back now if you want to see anything better than that. Terrifyingly enough that was the match of the night.
Kama vs. Shawn Michaels- First Round Match
Michaels beat King Kong Bundy to get here. I'm sure that was a super match. Kama beat Duke "The Dumpster" Drose to get here.
We get a lockup to start. Shawn goes to the headlock, and transitions into an armbar. Kama reverses out and attempts a back-suplex, Shawn flips out of it and lands on his feet. He ducks a few punches and gets a couple jabs of his own. Another lockup, Shawn gets muscled into the corner. Shawn ducks a cheapshot and gets some punches of his own. Shawn with a whip, its reveresed and Shawn goes over the top in the corner and follows it with a few more punches. Third lockup now, Shawn gets another headlock. Kama shoots him off, Shawn ducks a clothesline but winds up getting pitched over the top for his troubles. Shawn skins the cat back in and Kama charges and winds up eating the floor. After some stalling Kama comes back in. We get another lockup, Shawn goes to the arm and hammers on it. Kama shoots him off, Shawn ducks a clothesline but eats a pretty nasty kick. Kama clotheslines Shawn over the top. On the floor Shawn gets posted.
Back inside Kama controls with some kicking and clubbing. Kama taunts the crowd as hat-guy (of ECW fame) flips him off. Shawn eats a hard whip as we cut to a splitscreen showing "Smokin'" Joe Frazier enjoying the show. Kama continues stomping and punching away. Kama continues the boring.... I mean beating with some more punching. Kama finally pulls Shawn up and delivers a series of martial arts kicks to the ribs. Kama goes to a single leg crab(??) Meanwhile he continues to punch away at the back. Kama breaks the crab and stalks away before eating a couple punches to the gut. He simply clubbers Shawn back down.
Shawn gets set up on the top rope for an uppercut. Kama hits a couple more with the last one knocking Shawn off. Kama goes to a modified torture wrack type move to continue his back work. Shawn uses the turnbuckles to flip himself over into a pinning combination for two. Kama comes back with a kick and a whip which sends Shawn over the top and to the floor. On the floor Ted Dibiase stomps away a bit.
Now Kama stands in the ring. He wants a countout. Shawn makes it back in at nine as Kama stomps away. Kama gets a succession of three backbreakers and goes to a backhold. Shawn punches his way out, but takes a punch from Kama in return. Shawn takes another hard whip, but avoids a Kama charge and nails a flying forearm that knocks Kama down. Both men are down, Kama is first back to his feet and he misses an elbowdrop. Both guys are back up, Shawn avoids a couple punches and gets a few of his own before getting his trademark forearm/nip-up combo. Shawn stomps away and then goes to some mounted punching. Shawn heads up top and gets a doublesledge for two. Shawn now with the ten-punches in the corner. The time is counting down with :55 left. Shawn with a whip, its reveresed, Shawn gets a turnover crossbody, Kama rolls through and gets a long two at :38. Kama with a couple knees, a whip, but Shawn gets an inside cradle for two. Another whip, Shawn gets a sunset flip at :05 but the thime runs out before the ref could count to three. After all that and we get a draw?!!!!
Winner: Double Time Limit Draw
Rating: *1/2- I'll be nice here and say that Shawn and Kama really tried to put together the best match they could. That effort didn't lead to great things, but at least you could see they tried.
- I still can't beleive they blew the potential for a surefire Undertaker/Shawn Michaels match here. But that's exactly what happened. Sad, especially when you consider Shawn was fresh off an awesome face turn and was at one of the hottest points of his career. Whatever...... on to the next match.....
Undertaker vs. Mabel- First Round Match
Mabel beat fellow Wrestlecrap alum Adam Bomb and Undertaker beat the then current Intercontinental champion Jeff Jarrett to get here.
Mabel and 'Taker go face to face to start. Mabel tries a punch, but its blocked. 'Taker gets a couple of throat thrusts and some kicks. Mabel eats a whip to the corner. 'Taker keeps thrusting (uh oh, that didn't sound right....) but a clothesline goes unsold. A second one rocks Mabel, 'Taker tries another, ducks a Mabel clothesline and knocks him down with a thrid one. 'Taker goes old-school before it was old school. 'Taker follows that up with some choking in the corner. In an awkward spot Mabel kinda, uhh, falls on 'Taker with a belly-to-belly to counter a whip.
'Taker does his Zombie sit-up thing. Mabel clotheslines him over the top and but 'Taker lands on his feet. 'Taker does his little necksnapper spot, because the heels never learn as Mabel goes to pull him back up. Mabel recovers quickly enough to clobber 'Taker as he's coming back in causing him to get his ankle caught in the ropes. Mabel heads to the outside with some stomps as 'Taker's hanging upside down. As 'Taker tries to free himself Mabel keeps up with the clubberin'. Finally 'Taker manages to extricate himself from the ropes. He retreats, and kicks away at Mabel. He gets some more thrusts in followed by some choking on the ropes. Undertaker proves his ADD by stalking an interfering Mo, before turning around into a big belly-to-belly suplex. To follow up, Mabel sinks in a Camel Clutch, but fails to make 'Taker humble.
Mabel lets 'Taker go and clubs away as he stands back up before he tosses him to the floor. Mabel follows and 'Taker eats some steps. Mabel stands on 'Taker's throat before heading back inside. As 'Taker slides back in Mabel stands on his back. That's not a shiatsu- that's for sure. Back up, 'Taker eats a corner whip and bumps pretty big for it. Mabel gets a vertical suplex for two. Mabel gets a couple headbutts and a bodyslam and simply sits on 'Taker for two. 'Taker eats another corner whip but boots Mabel to counter a splash. A clothesline knocks Mabel down. Mabel is the first guy back up and he misses an elbowdrop. 'Taker boots and hammers away, Mabel eats a corner whip and a running 'Taker splash. 'Taker continues with a boot and some choking. The ref is bumped a moment later after a series of irish whip reversals leads to 'Taker squashing the ref in the corner. 'Taker stays on offense with some punches and boots. He ducks a clothesline hits his trademark flying clothesline to take Mabel down.
'Taker gets the big lug up for a chokeslam and covers. Kama comes in and from behind karate kicks 'Taker in the head. Mabel gets back up to drop a leg for the pin.
What the Hell was that?!!
Winner: Mabel
Rating: 3/4*- In a night full of bad matches 'Taker/Mabel hardly stands out as the worst.
- Again, what the hell was that?!!! 'Taker just jobbed to a bad kung-fu kick and a legdrop...... :(
Savio Vega vs. "The Roadie" Jesse James- Second Round Match
- Ahh, a match I'm looking forward to. James had a really solid match with Bob Holly in his first match. Hopefully he can pull a good one out here.
Lockup to start, Savio is muscled into the corner. Roadie hammers away and Savio returns in kind. Roadie gets punched from corner to corner, and eats a hiptoss. Roadie gets clotheslined over the top, and does that funny little forehead hitting apron bump. Roadie stalls on the floor for a moment, selling his nose before he heads back in. Back inside we get another lockup, Savio gets a "full armdrag and twist" (-Schiavone) and kicks and clubs away a bit. Roadie is muscled into the corner. Savio chops and punches away. Savio goes back to the arm. Roadie tries a slam to counter but Savio cradles him for two. Back up, Roadie reverses a whip and nails Savio with a knee. A spinning neckbreaker gets two. A high kick knocks Savio back into the corner. Roadie continues with more punching. Roadie gets snapmare and a second rope diving headbutt for two. Roadie follows up with a kneedrop and some goofy back working over move. Roadie goes to some stomping now. Roadie follows with some punching as Savio's "Savio-ing up". He comes to his feet with some chopping and punching, but takes a knee and eats a hard corner whip. Roadie tries another second rope headbutt, but misses. Back up and Savio goes to some punching. Roadie catches a backelbow off a whip. A bodyslam gets two. Another whip, and Roadie eats a big boot for two.
Back up, a whip is countered and Jarrett grabs Savio's leg. Roadie tries a whip of his own, but stops short to avoid hitting Jarrett who's on the apron yelling at Razor Ramon. Savio wins it moments later with a knee to the back, that sends Roadie into Jarrett and a rollup for the pin.
Winner: Savio Vega
Rating: *- Two relatively mediocre wrestlers = one relatively mediocre match. Pretty easy equation.
- Up next is what I consider the most terrifying idea for a match ever; the "kiss my foot match" between Bret Hart and Jerry "The King" Lawler. Incidentally, this is probably Snitsky's favorite match ever......
Bret "The Hitman" Hart vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler- Kiss My Foot Match
We get a lockup to start. Bret muscles the King into the corner and goes with some gut punching early. This is obviously a pretty hot feud, because its not often you see Hart start out so hot. Headbutt on King. King bails and Bret follows and King eats a little barricade. Back inside Bret rakes King's face across the top rope. Bret goes back to some punching in the corner and hits another headbutt. King bails to the floor again, Bret follows with a headbutt to the lower back. He continues slugging away, but Lawler takes control by leveraging Bret into the steps. King continues to slug away and Bret eats some barricade. Back inside, Bret eats some turnbuckle. King hits the piledriver and taunts the crowd before hitting another one. King taunts the crowd again, this time focusing on ECW's "Straw Hat Guy" who's in the front row. King hits a third piledriver and continues to taunt. He covers for two.
Way to kill King's finish.....
Back up, Bret eats some turnbuckle. King still can't believe Bret kicked out of three piledrivers. King takes too long complaining to the ref. Bret kicks and punches his way back in to the match, but gets shut down with a poke to the eyes before being tossed to the floor. With Bret out on the floor King takes the time to remove his boot and his foot is a festering mess of nasty. As Bret comes back in King gets a boot shot. Can someone tell me why that wasn't a disqualification?
After putting his boot back on King covers for two. In the corner King chokes away with the boot. King breaks the choke and takes his boot off again. He attempts to stick his foot in Bret's face, but takes a leg trip and a headbutt to the groin instead. Bret nosells a punch and gets one of his own. King tries to crawl away but gets caught and elbowed in the face. King escapes with an eye rake. King hits a second rope fist drop. That gets two. King heads to the floor and gets posted when he tries the wishbone spot.
Bret heads to the floor now, for some gut punches. King's old buddy Hakushi tries to interfere as his manager distracts the ref, but a double team goes awry and King gets decked. Back inside, King takes a whip, a punch to the gut and a Russian legsweep. Bret with a side-backbreaker and a second rope elbow. He locks in the Sharpshooter for the submission win moments later. King has to kiss Bret's foot.
Ewww..... ;)
- King, of coure, tries to bail but gets caught.
Winner: Bret "The Hitman" Hart and foot fetishists everywhere
Rating: **- I enjoyed it. Hart takes a good beating which he did here. Lawler is a pretty fun heel and he was really turning up the dickishness here.
- Before we go on, I must officially demand a match with every diva on the current roster under the same stipulations where I job horribly.
Savio Vega vs. Mabel- King Of The Ring Final
- We have arrived. We all know the infamous outcome here. Mabel pins the miracle man Savio Vega to become the King, making everyone watching extremely happy. But, the other option, being Savio as King isn't that much better.
On to the action; Lockup to start. Mabel shoves Savio. Another lockup, Savio gets shoved to the corner. Mabel misses a splash and Savio slugs away. A few chops rock the big guy, as Savio goes to the ten punch. Savio with a whip, its reveresed, Savio ducks a clothesline and goes to some pounding in the corner. Mabel rakes the eyes and gets a bodyslam to escape. Mabel's big elbow misses. Savio actually takes the big guy over the top with a clothesline. That's the most Mabel's had to bump all night.
Mabel pulls Savio to the floor to counter a kick, but winds up eating some steps. Savio hammers away, but gets thrown to the steps. Savio heads back in, Mabel chokes him over the top rope. Savio takes a corner whip, Mabel stalks him and locks in a bearhug. Mabels execution here is pretty terrible. He looks like he's crying into Savio's chest judging by where his head is placed. After a minute or so Savio pounds his way out. Mabel pokes the eyes to maintain control. Savio takes a corner whip and gets locked in another bearhug. Exciting, innovative offense from Mabel tonight, huh?
Eventually, Savio does the double ear clap to escape but Mabel clubs away to stay in control. Savio takes a whip and a big "jumping" clothesline on the way back. That gets two. Mabel slows it down from 10 to 0 with a chinlock and "Straw Hat Guy" looks upset.
Savio fights his way up from the mat, but Mabel crushes him a few times in the corner. Savio gets whipped across but avoids the world's slowest "running" splash and gets a rollup for a long two. Back up, Savio hits his "devastating" spinning kick. That crazy murder move "somehow" only gets two. Back up, Mabel reverses a whip and catches Savio in a crossbody. A powerslam gets Mabel two. A big splash wins it for Mabel a second or two later.
Winner: Mabel
Rating: 1/2*- In spite of myself I actually kind of enjoyed this. Mabel is the worst King Of The Ring ever and Savio made a mediocre miracle man who's facing down the big monster, but it wasn't all bad.
- I mean, despite your thoughts on Mabel you've gotta appreciate the WWF's balls here in foregoing the easy booking of making Yokozua, Shawn, or 'Taker the King. That's not to say I think it turned out well, but it was cool that they tried something new.
- Postmatch Razor tries to attack Mabel but gets beat down.
- Of coures, this show is most remembered for the crowd turning absolutely hostile during King Mabel's coronation. The ECW chants are so loud Vince is forced to mention it on commentary.
Psycho Sid/Tatanka vs. Diesel/Bam-Bam Bigelow
- I doubt this match is going to end our streak of crap.
- Something of note; Bigelow has his retarded looking red flame coat on. It actually looks like an opening flower. He also has some kind of glowstick/sparkler for his entrance.
Tatanka and Diesel start. Lockup, we get a series of armringers. Diesel levels Tatanka with a clothesline. Stupidly enough Diesel waits for Tatanka to get up and actually walks into a Sid kick. Bigelow tries to come in illegally, the ref heads him off as Sid goes to the floor and uses the bottom rope to work over Diesel's elbow. That's an odd body part to work over in a match, isn't it? Sid posts the elbow. Inside Tatanka nails a chop to the elbow following his Indian War Dance. He does it again and Diesel looks moderately annoyed. Its a seven foot tall, 250 pound monster who's being beat up by getting chopped in the elbow..... right.........
Off the ropes Tatanka kicks the elbow. Tatanka spits on Diesel and kicks him in the shoulder again. Back up, Tatanka wrings the arm and works the elbow over the top rope. Sid joins in by punching at it. Sid gets the tag and comes in with some eye poking and punches. He continues the elbow work over the top. Diesel tries to fight out, Sid shuts him down with some clubbing blows. He continues his "exciting" elbow work with clubbing blows over the top rope. A bodyslam from Sid gets two. On the mat, Sid clubs on the elbow some more. Sid misses a legdrop. Sid sells the miss like he just got an accidental enema. Diesel finally makes the tag.
Bigelow comes in like a fat guy dressed in fire with a series of punches and clotheslines on both guys. Bammer pins Sid for two, Tatanka tries to break it with an elbowdrop but winds up hitting Sid instead. Tatanka eats a dropkick to the floor. In the ring Bammer hits Sid with a good looking DDT. Bammer heads up top and drops the headbutt. Sid seemingly forgets to sell it, but still gets pinned, but Tatanka distracts the ref. Bammer goes back to the pin, but Sid kicks out with authority. Funny, that always seemed like more of a face move to me. Bammer proves his ADD by taunting Dibiase long enough for Sid to clubber him from behind. Sid simply stuffs the Bammer with a chokeslam off the second rope to follow up. Now Sid taunts, making some spinarooni type motions.
If Sid breakdances this match gets five stars.
After the spinarooni tease Tatanka gets tagged back in. He covers Bammer for two. Tatanka goes to some stomping now. He slugs and kicks away in the corner. Bigelow tries a headlock but gets stuffed with a pretty good looking back-suplex. Tatanka continues working over Bigelow with some stomps and kicks to the head. Tatanka muscles Bammer into his corner. Sid tags in and hits a running boot. A second one knocks Bammer down. Sid stomps away before pulling Bammer up and putting a couple boots to the ribs. In the corner, Sid hammers away but Bammer fights back with some kicking and clubbing. Bammer hits the ropes but eats a boot that sends him outside.
Sid tries to follow up, but Bammer takes pulls him down by the ankles. Bigelow tries a springboard splash, but Tatanka pulls him down to stop it. Sid goes to the floor and hits his favorite move, a running boot. Back insider, Bammer suffers a devastating chinlock.
Bammer fights his way to his corner momentarily, but Tatanka comes in to illegally shut him down. Diesel tries to intervene, and clubbers all over Sid. Sid eats a corner whip and a clothesline. Diesel hits a slam and an elbow drop, but he reinjures his bad elbow. Diesel tags out, but Bammer's still pretty gassed. He gets beat down by Tatanka. A crossbody by Tatanka gets two. Bammer suffers another chinlock.
I don't know how much more of this he can take.........
Wait, did I say "he"? I meant "I"......
After a minute or so Bammer fights back up. Bammer gets a whip, but sets too early and eats a jumping DDT. That gets two. Tatanka follows up with some stomping and kicking. Eventually Bammer makes a comeback, he ducks a Tatanka clothesline and both guys knock each other down. Bammer recovers quickly enough to cover for two. Back up, Tatanka locks in another chinlock. Back up, Bammer fights out. A series of whips and reversals leads to Tatanka going under face-up and eating a jumping Bammer senton. That was cool.....
Bammer tries for the tag, Tatanka catches him and eats an enziguri for his trouble. And here's Diesel. He punches away and hits a side-suplex. Diesel with a whip, Tatanka ducks a clothesline and tries a rollup but gets flung off. A running boot puts him down. Diesel hits the Jacknife but pulls Tatanka's shoulder up. With Tatanka down Diesel points at Sid. Sid bails and Diesel simply pins Tatanka for the win.
Winners: Diesel and Bam Bam Bigelow
Rating: *- A nice tidy little tag match. Again, as with everything else on this show, it was nothing special but nothing too bad either. I can't say I loved it, but it wasn't painful either. At least Bammer got a few nice moves in.
- That's a wrap.
Final Thoughts: Overall, King Of The Ring 1995 is pretty much the worst WWF Pay-Per-View ever. Only one match reached the ** barrier and most of the rest were borderline DUD's. Bret/King is worth seeing, but don't expect anything that special, either.
As far as the tournament itself goes, Mabel is easily the worst King Of The Ring ever. Savio Vega being forced into the Bret Hart role didn't have the ability or charisma to really make people care that much about him. In mirroring a better tournament, with Savio playing the Bret Hart role and Mabel playing the Bigelow role, 1995 was just seen as being inferior.
Reccomended: NO. Unless you really, really, really like Savio Vega.
