Title: New AWA World Champion
Mad Dog - March 26, 2007 11:25 PM (GMT)
Some dude named TNT Greg Bownds won the title over the weekend. I have no clue who that is.

There, Corino isn't the champ anymore, is everyone happy now?

That's like the worst name for a world champion I've heard ever. At least Corino sounds kinda cool.
dynamite kido - March 27, 2007 02:28 PM (GMT)
Seriously don't kid yourself. NOTHING about Corino is good or "cool".
Spawnie Guy - March 27, 2007 04:07 PM (GMT)
Now that you mention it, it reminds me of "corn hole."
Mad Dog - March 28, 2007 12:37 AM (GMT)
The real question is how long until Corino wins the belt back.

Be thankful you're armed.....
And yeah, I think Corino won't get it back. He IS supposed to retire at the end of the year
Mad Dog - March 28, 2007 11:23 PM (GMT)
Corino got the belt back today on a dusty finish.
Big F'N Swigg - March 29, 2007 01:30 AM (GMT)
Well, this crow tastes great
whitemilesdavis - March 29, 2007 01:44 AM (GMT)
That was quick, and useless. EVERY single change they've had with that AWA belt has been completely convoluted. Are they even trying to build this belt?
Big F'N Swigg - March 29, 2007 01:47 AM (GMT)
Where's a link so I can read up?

Steve Corino [2] 07/01/07 Pottstown, PA
TNT (Greg Bownds) defeats Corino on 07/03/23 in Cardiff, AUSTRALIA, but the title is returned to Corino when the AWA board claims that "international paperwork for this title match can not be located, and therefore the title change can not be validated." |
That's just from
http://www.wrestling-titles.com/awa/awa-h.htmlThe AWA site sucks balls and isn't up to date at all and I only noticed because I jump on that site every now and then to see what's up with the various belts out there.
Mad Dog - March 29, 2007 01:57 AM (GMT)
It's also a really weak dusty finish if you ask me.
dynamite kido - March 29, 2007 05:15 AM (GMT)
Wait for it........
wait........
for.......
it........
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH
AHAHAHAHA
Big F'N Swigg - March 29, 2007 01:27 PM (GMT)
You know, they've had cheap shit like that since the title was created
whitemilesdavis - March 29, 2007 02:09 PM (GMT)
Yep, both Converse's win and loss were disputed.
Mad Dog - March 31, 2007 05:48 PM (GMT)
It's like having Vern Gagne in charge of the AWA all over again with the way Corino has the belt.
Mad Dog - April 1, 2007 02:39 AM (GMT)
Might I add that Corino was dual wielding the AWA World and AWA World Tag Team Titles up until a week ago. And he wasn't even in the match where they lost the belts because he was over in Australia. Face it, Corino is an ass.
Mad Dog - April 1, 2007 01:14 PM (GMT)
Well Corino lost the belt again yesterday. Unfortunately it was to Takao Omori who's also held the belt 3 times already. Color me totally bored with that title change.
