Title: Sundance Channel upcoming...

Big F'N Swigg - February 28, 2007 06:26 PM (GMT)
I got an e-mail from the Sundance Channel informing me of the programming schedule this month. It included This. That's right: Debbie Does Dallas: UNCOVERED.

I'm speechless

Scrooge McSuck - February 28, 2007 07:03 PM (GMT)
Are they going to show the porn?

whitemilesdavis - February 28, 2007 07:09 PM (GMT)
The documentary is NC-17, so it's doubtful there will be full on porn. I'd say graphic nudity, and maybe some quick glimpses of semi-hardcore.

Scrooge McSuck - February 28, 2007 07:11 PM (GMT)
Damn...

(downloads internet porn instead)

dynamite kido - February 28, 2007 08:07 PM (GMT)
I actually wouldn't mind seeing that.

I wonder if they'll mention the films mafia ties.

whitemilesdavis - February 28, 2007 08:31 PM (GMT)
The Inside Deep Throat documentary was actually very interesting.

Damn straight.

There something about Porn in those days too (not the movies themselves, but their backstories) as most of it was really rooted in seedy fucking shit.

whitemilesdavis - February 28, 2007 09:38 PM (GMT)
Like that's changed.

It has actually. Believe it or not but porn is actually more of a legitimate business than it's ever been.

Aye, verily. DK speaketh true of porn. The only two businesses that have consistently made money since the widespread acceptance of the Internet are porn and gambling.

Best paying jobs in internet development have always been porn. Not necessarily filming, but the programming and design positions pay well. Great work if you can get it (and if you can stand designing with the same big punani on your layouts all week). Our old sys admin went out to California and made a killing working for a sex toys company. When I was in internet development from 1997 to 2004, we would find some good programming or navigation solutions on porn sites. Those things are VERY well put together. Secure back-ends, excellent load times, usually latest technology. There are some shitty "two guys in a garage" sites, but the professional ones are impressive pieces of work.

Plus, you've got tons of PPV movies and channels on cable and satellite. Big sex conventions that travel from town to town. It's a big business and nowadays it's more accessible than ever.

dynamite kido - February 28, 2007 11:54 PM (GMT)
Exactly E. Plus the times have changed within porn in general. There so much money involved in it since the advent of the internet the sleezy mafia guy was cut out of the fold. Basically porn makes so much money that even the little guy can get his piece of the pie.

While organized crime may not have a hand in porn, I'd still say it's the only industry dirtier than pro-wrestling. Hard drugs are pretty much a way of life, not to mention the objectification of young women, some of them starting off underage. Then you have the whole weird connection between female porn stars and prostitution. Now, internet porn is a whole different deal, as I'm speaking specifically of the adult film industry.
