I am totally shocked that I won this.

There were so many upsets I can't believe it. I have to give it up to Dan Henderson for pulling that out. He beat the greatest middleweight fighter in the sport.

Yeah it sounds insane, although I'm not as shocked about Silva losing as I am about Nogueira.

Holy crap. I stop paying attention for 3 days and Henderson beats Wanderlai?

By the way, the next time you guys do this, I'm all over it.

Neither am I, especially because Nogueira is a fucking beast and his opponent was nowhere near being on the level of Dan Henderson.

Plus he lost in 23 fucking seconds. I still can't believe it, actually.

And more people joining is good shit, although you'll have some catching up to do with the running standings...

Here's what I was afraid of with Wanderlai - the wars have finally gotten to him. His reckless style and total disregard for defense have made for very exciting fights, but they have taken their toll. He is officially done, and it's a shame cause he was great. Maybe the best ever for a short period of time.

That might be true. But then again all he would have to do is go to UFC. He'd still clean the fuck up there.

I'd say for the most part you are right, though he still needs like a year off with solid training.

I've said that for years. But I know he wasn't happy when Vitor embarassed him back in the day. He's roughly 345345324 times better now though.

And I'm trying my hardest not to burn you guys out on this, but there's another event coming up Saturday in UFC 68 with Sylvia vs. Couture. Thread will be going up tomorrow sometime.

And like it's been mentioned already, anyone new who wants to join in on the Picks Contest will start with the lowest total that anyone on the board already has (in this case, Swiggy's 7).

I've felt Silva is on the downside of his career. I saw this as him finally losing the belt that he should've lost to Shogun a couple of years ago.

Dude, I'm not gonna lie I thought that was the worst pick prefight that anyone made. But I give you credit on the pick.

Well see. I've seen every fight since he won the title. I think a washed up Couture can beat him. He's easily the LEAST impressive fighters that I've seen with a title.

I will agree with that, but Couture's like 45, man. I think it will be a lot more competitive than people are thinking, but I still gotta say that Sylvia's winning. I'm really hoping Randy pulls it out, though.

Couture's 45 and Sylvia's huge. However, Sylvia REALLY sucks and Couture is really skilled. I'm taking Couture on principle alone.
