Title: OaO Bad Booking Thread
Description: Where Blue Meanie squashes Kane....
SamoaRowe - January 21, 2005 12:00 AM (GMT)
I think that would make a great No Way Out match. I'll have Kane vs Blue Meanie in a Bra and Panties match, where Meanie squashes Kane and strips him down to his white underpants. Smell the ratings!

You think THAT is bad? I tried booking a Buck Naked Match between Abdullah The Butcher and Viscera after all my female wrestlers refused to participate and called me a sicko.

Did they actually go along with that?
Either way, I'm emotionally scarred for life now. That sounds worse than the Xpac/Chyna sex tape (but not by much, surprisingly).
Scrooge McSuck - January 21, 2005 12:09 AM (GMT)
Obviously not. All the men refused... even when it was a Man vs. Woman match where the man wins. :(
I also booked a PPV with just women matches.
SamoaRowe - January 21, 2005 12:10 AM (GMT)
Suddenly I'm inspired to have Ozzy Benton win my royal rumble and main event Wrestlemania...
What kind of man refuses a buck naked match against a female where he wins? Who was refusing, Pat Patterson?

Booker T.
I also booked Hunter jobbing three consecutive weeks to Crash Holly, Funaki, and Sean Stasiak. Then I fired his Gonzo nose afterwards.

I would actually consider that to be "good booking" though :D
I remember i jobbed Hulk Hogan out to Crash Holly several times in one of my older games. It was fun, but Crash didn't pick up nearly as much over points from it as he should have.

You fucking ass!!!!!!!!!
I hate when I book my favorite wrestlers badly by accident and they refuse to participate. Except Kevin Nash. I knocked his overness to like 30, he had 0 morale, and he had a cheap ass contract for 5 years. I just let him rot instead of poluting anyone elses company.

That was very generous of you to save other feds from the cancer known as Kevin Nash. Seeing as he's about to main event TNA's next ppv, there is a real concern for that.
Yeah, Hulk deserves better, but I didn't care :D
And I hear you on the treating favorite wrestlers badly part. In my EWR game, at one point I had lost Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, and Chris Benoit because their morale dropped so low. Right now I have Angle and Benoit back and they're happy now, but Chris Jericho will not sign a written contract with me. I'll use him here and there for guest appearances, but I dare not actually put him into a storyline and then have him walk out on me (he tours in Japan).

That reminds me...
I was doing 1989 NWA, and had kick ass feuds between Steamboat/Flair and Sting/Luger.
Steamboat breaks his neck 2 weeks before the first big PPV match, and Stings morale dropped to the point he refused to compete.

Ouch. That sort of reminds me when I was heading into my Wrestlemania XX in my current game. My two big matches were going to be Angle/Guerrero and Lesnar/Benoit. In the weeks heading into the game, the morale of all four men tanked and the 'Mania matches came out like crap. I was not pleased with how my version of "the biggest show of all time" came out.

I think I remember what inspired this topic... it was one of the countless "Scrooge and Rowe take a topic WAY off topic" topic. I think I broke the record of saying "topic" so many times in one sentence.
TheGreatWhiteChoate - March 28, 2006 12:35 AM (GMT)
Why are all these old threads being bumped again? ....Or is it something I don't want to know?
Scrooge McSuck - March 28, 2006 12:36 AM (GMT)
Nothing happend for the last week, and it's fun to breath life into long-dead topics... especially when the folder barely gets hits to begin with.
SamoaRowe - March 28, 2006 12:38 AM (GMT)
Ah, the days when Scrooge was known as Charlotte Bobcat. You should have your name changed back for a short time as a nostalgia trip.

Kind of like when Paul London refused to sign to written contract in my backyard promotion (and knowing that Rowe loves him) he jobbed until he was less over to make him sign with me...and he still refused to sign. SO he had to backyard jobbers. Yeah - that's right. He jobbed every single night, match-after-match againt people who jobbed to other backyard wrestlers. You can't get much more humbling than that.
I also had a Triple H vs. "Commissioner" Mikey Whipwreck in a HiaC match, where Whipwreck wins and HHH leaves the WWE for good. ...And then Whipwreck lost morale and refused to work with me, and won't resign four years later.

In my first EWR game (back in 2002) I jobbed Hogan out to Crash Holly. And the best part was that I didn't even know Scrooge then :P
Scrooge McSuck - March 28, 2006 05:19 PM (GMT)
Oh yeah, welll I jobbed out... whoever you liked back in 2002 too. Brock did the clean job to Funaki and Crash on a weekly basis. :D

:P Haha, I wasn't very much into Lesnar until 2003 rolled around. My favorites in 2002 were basically Benoit, Eddie, Edge, Jericho, and Angle.

You win this round Rowe-Man, but I'll get you. It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow, next week, or next year. But I'll get you.
And your little dog too.
