Title: Book A WWE vs. TNA Show
Description: This should be fun, huh?

Tempest - February 6, 2007 11:28 PM (GMT)
The idea: Basically, book a show, be it good, bad, or in between featuring the WWE roster ("Extremists" included) versus the TNA roster.

I just thought this might be kind of fun.

William Regal/Dave Taylor vs. Sonjay Dutt/Jay Lethal

- Kind of like Regal/Taylor's series of matches with Kendrick and London, only with a higher emphasis on flashy moves from Dutt. Lethal works the majority of the match, takes a good beating and makes the tag. Dutt comes in, with all his wonderful flippy shit and he and Lethal wind up getting the win.

Chris Benoit vs. Robert Roode

- Simply put, I think these two could put on a pretty awesome match. Roode is an awesome talent just looking for that one big break, and Benoit is the guy that could give it to him.

Test and Mike Knoxx vs. Team 3D- "EXTREME RULES"

- Pretty much a filler match. They brawl, maybe somebody bleeds and evetually one of the teams win.

Jerry Lynn vs. Rob Van Dam

- Arguably, Lynn is one of the biggest reasons Van Dam ever really broke out as a huge of a star as he did. Lynn's back in TNA, after dissapearing for years into agent/backstage work. Van Dam has been working some of the best matches of his life. Its a great match with a built-in story and past history to draw from. Booked properly it could probably steal a show like this.

Tommy Dreamer/CM Punk vs. Samoa Joe/Raven (w/Seratonin)

- Yeah, its a bit farfetched but, just picture a tag match that books together two of the most epic feuds in wrestling's recent history (three even, if you count Punk/Raven from ROH) into the same match.

Shawn Michaels vs. Kevin Nash (w/Alex Shelley, Austin Starr, and VKM)

- Michael's pulled miracles out of his ass to have good matches with Nash eleven years ago. Could he do it again?

Umaga vs. Sting

- Umaga is solid as shit, and if Sting really puts his working boots on he could have a really good match, selling his ass off for Umaga.

Kane vs. Eric Young

- Basically a little squash match, that allows Young to do some of his comedy stuff and pretty much get beat up.

LAX vs. Spanky/London

- Another match, that, if booked properly could possibly steal the whole damn show. London and Kendrick both play great underdogs and Hernandez, being the muscle man that he is can really toss them around. Homicide on the other hand, can actually really keep up with them in terms of just wrestling a real match.

Shawn Michaels/John Cena/Undertaker/Batista vs. Christian Cage/Abyss/AJ Styles/Kurt Angle

- The prerequisite big eight man tag that ends the show, in the end Styles takes the fall for his team following him taking the finishers of everyone from the opposing team.

Not sure this is the right folder, but I don't really care, This could have potential to be interesting. I'm gonna think about this one for a minute.

EDIT: Somebody already moved it :D Oh well, still should be fun.

dynamite kido - February 7, 2007 01:57 AM (GMT)
I was actually attempting to keep this out of Fantasy Booking because plain and simple there are people that avoid this folder like the plague.

Real F'n Show - February 7, 2007 02:49 AM (GMT)
True, but it fits the folder to a tee.

SamoaRowe - February 7, 2007 03:45 AM (GMT)
I have a paper to write now, but I have a lot of free time tomorrow, so perhaps I'll whip up a show.

Like, ummm...me. But I like this thread.

I don't think this match would mesh very well, and since I *HATE* Dutt, I wouldn't watch it.

Chris Benoit vs. Robert Roode

- Simply put, I think these two could put on a pretty awesome match. Roode is an awesome talent just looking for that one big break, and Benoit is the guy that could give it to him.

They probably would have a good match, but why waste Benoit on Roode?

Test and Mike Knoxx vs. Team 3D- "EXTREME RULES"

- Pretty much a filler match. They brawl, maybe somebody bleeds and evetually one of the teams win.

Since having a WWF vs. TNA show would be a big deal, why have filler matches? And especially ones that involve Test?

Jerry Lynn vs. Rob Van Dam

- Arguably, Lynn is one of the biggest reasons Van Dam ever really broke out as a huge of a star as he did. Lynn's back in TNA, after dissapearing for years into agent/backstage work. Van Dam has been working some of the best matches of his life. Its a great match with a built-in story and past history to draw from. Booked properly it could probably steal a show like this.

This match-up was a great one in 1999, but it's 2007, doesn't allure to me at all.

Instead of having Joe wasted in this match, why not add him to the main event, as well as Benoit?

Shawn Michaels vs. Kevin Nash (w/Alex Shelley, Austin Starr, and VKM)

- Michael's pulled miracles out of his ass to have good matches with Nash eleven years ago. Could he do it again?

Honestly, no, he couldn't. Nash is too far gone these days with injuries.

Umaga vs. Sting

- Umaga is solid as shit, and if Sting really puts his working boots on he could have a really good match, selling his ass off for Umaga.

Again, this isn't 1992, and Umaga isn't Vader.

Kane vs. Eric Young

- Basically a little squash match, that allows Young to do some of his comedy stuff and pretty much get beat up.

No. Even if this match was on the card, it should open the card, not towards the top.

This would actually be pretty good.

That's a horrible idea for Styles to take everyone's finisher. Also, add in Samoa Joe and Chris Benoit, making it a ten man tag.

Overall, not a very good card. TNA vs. WWF could be a huge thing, but it would have to be done correctly.

SamoaRowe - February 8, 2007 06:14 PM (GMT)
I started writing a show last night. I'm sort of ripping off some ideas from a good ROH show (I won't say which one yet) but so far I'm pretty satisfied with how it is coming out.

Tempest - February 9, 2007 12:12 AM (GMT)
Trying this again, as everyone (namely, SMKELLY13) seemed to be pretty against my first card.

X-Plosion- TNA/WWE Show Pre-PPV Show

Norman Smiley/Sharkboy vs. Funaki/Scotty 2 Hotty

- Just your basic tag match to get the crowd warmed up, the only notable thing (aside from Funaki pinning Sharkboy with a Tornado DDT) is the dueling Worm/Wiggle from Scotty and Smiley.

Opener:

Raven/Seratonin vs. Tommy Dreamer/Balls Mahoney/Sandman/Sabu- Raven's/Extreme Rules

- A quick and easy opener. Seratonin (arguably the most talented guys wrestling in this match) get to pop the crowd with some high flying antics, Raven and Dreamer have an oldschool ECW style brawl through the crowd. Sandman can hit some people with his cane, Balls can get the iMPACT Zone chanting his name and Sabu can do some table spots. We all win? Right?

Rhino vs. Bobby Lashley

- A battle between the last "Real" ECW Champion and the current "ECW" champion. Rhino wins it when Test interferes on behalf of, not TNA, but himself, as he boots Lashley and Rhino before tossing Rhino on top.

X-Division Champion vs. Intercontinental Champion- Chris Sabin vs. Jeff Hardy

- Pretty much what the title says. Its a battle between the two champions of each respective company. They could have a pretty solid match.

"The Redneck Messiah" Jamie 'By Gawd' Knoble vs. Samoa Joe

- Just call it a "fuck sports entertainment match" as Knoble wrestles his ass off in an instant classic with Joe, realizing this is probably his last chance to wrestle a really talented wrestler before being buried again on Smackdown!. The end of the match, with Joe barely pulling out the win with The Cochida Clutch sees TNA's fans chanting "Fuck Smackdown!"

Senshi vs. Umaga

- Its the hard kicking martial artist against the nearly impregnable big man, who's seemingly invincible. the story for the match sees Senshi trying to annihilate Umaga with his kicks, trying to take out legs, break arms and simply knock him out only for Umaga to power through it and hit the Samoan Spike for the win.

The Paparizzi and Kevin Nash vs. Kendrick/London- 3 on 2- Handicap Match

- Its a match to defy the odds, can the two underdogs mount an effective and winning offense against not only Shelley and Starr, but the seven foot Nash? Probably not.... But they still put up one Hell of a fight.

CM Punk vs. AJ Styles

- A match between WWECW's newest face and TNA's newest heel. It's sure to be a damn fine match too.

Christian/Edge vs. Kurt Angle/Shawn Michaels

- One of the best damn tag matches of the year. Edge and Christian, despite their status as opposing members of opposing companies manage to work together quite well, even teasing a "Five second pose". It takes a returning Triple H to turn the tide on Edge and Christian's domination of the match. In the end Hunter hits the ring with sledgie, only to be lowblowed and Unprettiered. Edge hits the spear on Angle, as Shawn nails the Sweet Chin Music on Christian. A distraction by Randy Orton leads to Angle regaining control only to be Pedigreed by a revived Hunter, who disagreed with Kurt and Shawn's interpromotional partnership. In the confusion, Christian accidentally hits Edge with the sledgehammer, and simply opts to walk out leaving Edge to take a Sweet Chin Music from Shawn, who in turn takes an RKO from Orton leading to the pin.

Six Man Tag: John Cena/Batista/Undertaker vs. Abyss/Sting/Jeff Jarrett

- Yeah, Jarrett's back. But don't worry, he does the job..... :P

SamoaRowe - February 9, 2007 12:34 AM (GMT)
Dammit, I have Edge and Christian teaming up on my show too!

Let me guess, you had E&C wrestling Team 3D, Spanky and London, The Hardy Boys, and LAX in some kind of car crash-y match?

Am I right? ;)

Nope, but it's not too late for me to steal that idea :D
