Mad Dog - January 2, 2007 05:35 AM (GMT)
Might as well get started on this thread. Anyways next show is on the 7th and the Briscoe Brothers are challenging Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Takashi Sugiura for the GHC Junior Tag Team Titles.

dynamite kido - January 2, 2007 06:36 AM (GMT)
I hope the Briscoes get destroyed.

Mad Dog - January 2, 2007 06:48 AM (GMT)
All the DVDVR retards are creaming themselves over that match ande hoping the Briscoes win. I'm with you though. I don't think they'd make for good champions.

jamiegeist - January 2, 2007 08:20 AM (GMT)
I just watched KENTA v Marufuji for the GHC Heavyweight Title (from Autumn Navigation in October), and holy fuck balls. Wow. Holy shit.

Its the Match of the Year, depite a blown spot. And its on youtube. Watch it.

That's actually one of the NOAH matches I saw from 2006. It's fucking incredible.

DK's not going to like this one:

That really makes me think we're gonna see a NOAH RoH Champion very soon, most likely KENTA.

dynamite kido - January 7, 2007 09:07 PM (GMT)
Wow, the Briscoes have won the NOAH Jr. titles. Fuck this shit....and fuck the Briscoes.

It STILL wouldn't be worth doing this to put the ROH title on KENTA.

Mad Dog - January 8, 2007 08:47 PM (GMT)
RoH is getting the shaft if this is the agreement. They're giving up their world title in exchange for the most throw away belts in NOAH. Yes, even the Openweight Hardcore Title gets better treatment.

Mad Dog - January 8, 2007 08:51 PM (GMT)
Big show on 1/21 as Misawa defends the GHC title against Takeshi Morishima. The Briscoes also defend the junior tag titles.

It might be due to the ROH involvement, but I'm actually interested in NOAH. I hope Morishima takes the title.

Mad Dog - January 12, 2007 09:27 PM (GMT)
I really doubt it. This is probably a last run for Misawa and his first two reigns saw him only get 1 successful defense each time. As I said earlier I expect to see him defend the title several times.

I think people underrate Rikio, especially in tags.

I like him better in tags, it's just things I accepted from him a few years ago are becoming less acceptable as he gains experience.

WOW.

That's actually a pretty big deal even though Misawa is most likely finishing (or should be) up his career at this point. Cool of Misawa to do it, hopefully business stays up for them though otherwise, the title will be back with the old guard in no time.

Mad Dog - March 2, 2008 11:11 PM (GMT)
I'm not sure what I think of the move. I'm not sure he was quite ready yet. I would've liked to see him get another year of being a top of the card guy before getting the belt.

dynamite kido - March 2, 2008 11:32 PM (GMT)
I'm thinking that Misawa must really need a break right now too. I think they've managed to wait long enough, although it's all going to depend on the crowd turnout and good matchups really.
