Title: TEW
Description: WWE 2006: Workrate > Entertainment
smkelly13 - December 13, 2006 06:50 PM (GMT)
I've had TEW for some time now, and until just recently, I didn't play much. But, I've had some time on my hands, and I thought it'd be interesting to start a little fantasy booking of my own, since I couldn't finish NWA:PTL. I should be able to post a show at least once a week, or as often as I can possibly do considering my hectic work/school schedule.
Things to expect:
*More matches
*Longer matches
*Workrate over entertainment
*Bigger pushes
*Storylines that make sense
*Less entertainment
*More violence (ECW)
*Big signings
*Big releases
*A shock in the wrestling world
*Huge surprises

If you wanted to bring back PTL, a lot of your guys from that fed are free and I'd be willing to send some NEW talent over to you. Something to think about.

What's TEW play like? I've always wanted to know

Eh, I would like to re-join with PTL, but I'd want Angle, HBK, and AmDragon back, which wouldn't happen.
TEW runs smoothly. It takes some time to get used to it though. I love EWR 4.2 but TEW blows it out of the water.

I'd let you have Danielson back, he hasn't debuted with NEW yet. I don't think Plague is too partial to Shawn Michaels, though you're probably right about not getting Kurt Angle back.

Yeah, that'd be nice of you. I'm concentrating on my own fantasy league right now. I might re-consider later on down the road.
SamoaRowe - December 14, 2006 04:06 PM (GMT)
Okay, good luck with the fantasy game :)
If you ever want to rejoin the NWA game, the offer to get Danielson back will be on the table. In the meantime, look for him to make a splash in NEW in the near future...

See, I tried playing the demo, but I just wasn't comfortable enough with it.

I tried the demo too, and had the same reaction that Swiggy did. That, and I didn't want to have to pay for it.

The demo was weird, I had second thoughts about it, but figured I've dropped a lot more money on stupid games/movies. The full version is much better.

I would buy it, but I always seem to need that 35 bucks whenever I consider it.
Big F'N Swigg - January 11, 2007 04:36 AM (GMT)
I've looked all over for cracks to try and bootleg it, but I couldn't find any

I bought a copy of the 2007 copy a couple of days ago. It's more work but I can see it being more rewarding long term for booking. The storyline way of booking is nice and it's great to dictate how long matches can be. Plus even the fake universe that comes with the game has a life of it's own with a well thought out history.

Yeah, TEW is greatness. I like the system, and the game play.
I doubt I'll ever be able to post a show though. I am totally swamped right now, considering I just moved last month, have no stable employment, and I am in college.
If I could post a show, it would have to be near perfect, just the way I like it, and I seriously don't have time for it.
