Money hits a handspring elbow and hits a release suplex to take the first fall. Money applies a headlock and then takes Jeter down with a hairpull. Money drops a knee and applies a headlock. Jeter escapes but Money cuts him off with a hair pull and appling the hold again. Money hits a bodyslam and goes for a frog splash but Jeter moves. Jeter hits a dropkick and follows it up with a DDT for the pin. Jeter hits a dive to the outside and then hits a springboard legdrop as things head back into the ring. Jeter gets a quick inside cradle to get the upset victory. **3/4 60/58/76

Dorado hits an armdrag and follows it up with a dropkick. Dorado hits another armdrag and then catches Manson with a drop toe hold. Dorado ducks a clothesline and then hits a bodyslam. Dorado covers for two. Dorado tosses Manson to the outside and hits a diving press to the outside. Back in the ring as Dorado hits a bulldog for the pin. The second fall starts with Manson hitting a DDT out of nowhere. He stomps on Dorado and then hits a piledriver. That'll cost him. DQ. **** 72/72/91

Wild brawling to start. Aguayo drags Juvy through the crowd and viciously pounds him. Santo beats up Cibernetico in the entrance area. They drag them back into the ring and hit springboard sunset flips to take the first fall. The second fall sees Juvy pin Santo after a Juvy Driver and Cibernetico submit Aguayo with a swinging surfboard. Santo hits a belly to belly suplex on Juvy to start the third fall. Santo slams him face first into the mat and then tags Aguayo in. Juvy begs off but Aguayo just levels him with punches. Aguayo hits a big boot and then drops a knee. Juvy comes off the ropes and hits a dropkick to the knee. Cibernetico in but Aguayo hits a clothesline and a neckbreaker. Santo charges in and they hit a double suplex. Aguayo hits a DDT and covers but Juvy makes the save. Juvy hits a low blow and rolls Aguayo up for a pinfall. They hit a Rocket Launcher on Santo for the win. ***1/2 75/84/85

Shocker comes out strong with some right hands. Morgan bails to the outside but Shocker nails him with a diving press. Back in the ring as Shocker hits a clothesline and follows it up with an elbow drop. Shocker hits a senton splash from the top rope and covers for the pin. While Shocker poses for the crowd Morgan rolls him up with a handful of tights and ties it at 1-1. Morgan stomps Shocker as he gets to his feet. Morgan hits a vertical suplex and covers for two. Morgan hits a swinging neckbreaker and covers for two. Shocker comes off the ropes and hits a big shoulder tackle. Shocker goes for the Electro Shock roll up but they're in the rope. He goes to the top but Morgan tosses him off. Morgan applies a rear naked choke and Shocker has no choice and taps out. ***1/4 72/78/82

Only 24 hours after Manchester Mayhem, it's time for another exciting edition of NEW Saturday Night. Tonight's main event will be the Dudley Boyz vs. America's Most Wanted for the chance to represent NEW at Clash of the Champions.

Chris Jericho cut a promo bitching about his NEW title loss to Rey Mysterio last night. Jericho accuses Mysterio and JBL of having a "conspiracy" to steal the title away from him. Mysterio comes out with a microphone and defends himself, stating that he only asked JBL to call the match cleanly, and because he did he will get a title shot at Resistance. This brings out Eric Bischoff, who says that no one should be getting a title shot before Jericho, so he makes Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho official for Clash of the Champions. (99%)

Jushin Liger and Tajiri defeated D'Lo Brown and J.R. Ryder at 7:45 when Liger pinned Ryder, following a sneak attack by Tajiri and his green mist. Liger and Tajiri's NEW Tag Team Championship was on the line. After the match, D'Lo threw a fit and aggressively attacked Tajiri. Liger, Ryder, and a bunch of referees had to do their best to seperate them. (82/73/91)

Backstage, Carlito and the PTL Invaders were still celebrating the victory from last night and the Invaders' new contracts. "Iron" Troy Cumings came in and asked Carlito to answer why he turned his back on NEW last night, and Carlito said that "PTL was supposed to be the greatest wrestling territory of all time, and instead a lot of talent went to waist. Carlito is going to make sure that PTL becomes the force in wrestling that it was destined to become." (61%)

Chris Sabin and Johnny Devine defeated Carlito and Chris Hero at 9:00 when Sabin hit the Cradle Shock on Hero. The match was extremely competitive, featuring some neat exchanges between Hero and Sabin. Carlito is the new acting head of this PTL faction. After the match, PTL's Matt Sydal took a steel pipe and nailed Sabin in the knee with it. Sabin was apparently injured, and needed help walking out of the arena. (76/70/83)

Backstage, Edge and Rob Zan Dam are still icing sores from their TLC match from the previous night. Eric Bischoff comes in to talk to them. Bischoff says that he doesn't blame them for losing to the Dudleyz last night, but he needs them to get their heads in the game. Bischoff says that he is outraged that the PTL Invaders all have contracts now, and he's going to need them to keep them in line. Bischoff then warns RVD that he remembers that RVD first came to NEW from PTL, and he doesn't want RVD turning his back on NEW the way that Carlito did. RVD says that he is trustworthy, but to be safe, Bischoff is going to sign Carlito vs. Rob Van Dam for Resistance, that way there is no way RVD can betray NEW even if he wanted to. RVD clearly isn't happy about this lack of faith. (84%)

Sonjay Dutt defeated Sonny Siaki at 4:24 when Rhino interfered and hit the GORE on Siaki. Rhino was heading back up the entrance ramp, when Tommy Dreamer suddenly appeared and layed out Rhino with a kendo stick. Dreamer then holds Rhino in place so Siaki can take shots at him. The whole ordeal ends when Mick Foley makes the save. Things are apparently not over between these four. (75/71/79)

Ron Killings comes out the the ring for a promo. He angrily cuts a promo against Kid Kash, saying he had the Boston Harbor Championship within his grasp last night, until Kash ruined everything. Killings demands an explanation. Kash comes out and cuts a vicious promo stating that he wanted James Gibson to lose the title because Kash can't get any more title shots until he does, and because he "just doesn't like black people." This fired up Killings, and they had a short brawl. (82%)

The Dudley Boyz defeated America's Most Wanted at 8:17 to earn the chance to represent NEW at Clash of the Champions. The match was awesome, with lots of back and forth action. The Dudleyz hit all of their trademark spots, including "Wasssup!" and "Devon, get the tables!" After the match, the Dudleyz put both Harris and Storm through tables, and look strong heading into Clash of the Champions. (85/78/92)

Next week: JBL and Chris Jericho team up to face NEW Champion Rey Mysterio and a mystery partner.

Ken Kennedy makes his way to the ring. He claims that he should now be considered a legend. He took Terry Funk to the limit. Just like other legendary names in the business. Hogan. Flair. Briscoe. Rhodes. Race. He could go on forever. Terry Funk is probably nursing his wounds in Texas. Which, of course, brings out Terry Funk. Funk proclaims that Kennedy is right. He did take Funk to his limits. But that doesn't make him a Hogan or a Flair. He's on the right track, though. The best step would be to actually beat Funk. One on One. But the only way that could happen would be over Funk's dead body. Kennedy challenges Funk to a Texas Death Match at Vendetta. Funk accepts. The crowd goes wild. (81)

Chase Stevens vs. Nick Dinsmore
Andy Douglas and Jim E. Cornette are with Stevens. Rob Conway is with Dinsmore. It's a good match, with Douglas and Cornette preventing Conway from getting involved. Dinsmore picks up the win by putting his feet on the ropes while Conway distracts Cornette and Douglas.

Kurt Angle is backstage. He's "fire eatin' mad!" Last Sunday, he stepped into the ring expecting Chris Benoit. But now, he's realised that the Chris Benoit he fought in the ring isn't the Benoit he's known. The Benoit he knew fought like a man. This Benoit runs like a coward. And it's wrong. It's DAMN wrong. Blackout start the match by attacking before the bell. It's a brawl for all, and Blackout picks up the victory after taking out Axl and covering Balls. After the match, Balls blames Axl and hits the Nutcracker Suite on him.

CM Punk is backstage talking with Jimmy Jacobs. Raven walks up. He tells Punk that from now on, Punk stays out of Raven's business. Punk laughs. Interstate Title Tourney Round 2-William Regal vs. Chad Collyer
Regal is focused, and Collyer is ready. The two wrestle ALL over the ring. Collyer is on fire, having studied William Regal. The announcers play up Regal's cockiness and the fact that Regal didn't feel that he had to prepare. Collyer not only wins, but gets Regal to tap to the Texas Cloverleaf.

Kurt Angle & Terry Funk vs. Ken Kennedy & Chris Benoit
Angle and Funk are on the same page from the get go. Angle and Kennedy start the match out. Angle tears Kennedy to pieces, and Kennedy goes for a tag. Benoit tags in. The crowd roars. Benoit tags back out. Kennedy looks at him, and man the face he makes is awesome. Angle throws Kennedy around a bit more before tagging in Funk. Funk takes it to Kennedy, and Kennedy counters with a low blow while the ref was distracted by Benoit. Kennedy tags in Benoit, who hardily attacks Funk. Benoit looks like the Benoit of old as he tears into Funk. And he won't let Funk tag in. After some offense by Benoit, Funk sneaks away and makes the hot tag. Benoit bails and tags in Kennedy, who was arguing with a fan in the front row. Kennedy looks stunned, and Angle is pissed. Benoit grabs his belt and leaves Kennedy to the wolves.

Perez stormed the ring, but Austin stepped in, too, and told Perez to get out of the ring and leave Whipwreck. Lethal from behind tossed Perez out of the ring, and Austin showed Lethal how to win a match. Austin kicked Whipwreck and put him in the Stone Cold Stunner. Lethal, trying to catch-on, was shown once again, with a second Stone Cold Stunner on Whipwreck. Lethal caught on, and kicked Whipwreck and gave him the Stone Cold Stunner of his own. Whipwreck was laid-out in the ring and Perez crying at ringside.

Ric Flair © def. John Cena at 9:15 when Cena whipped Flair into the referee Mike Chioda. Cena set-up Flair for the F-U, until Randy Orton ran into the ring, and smacked Cena on the forehead with a steel chair, busting open his wound from Revelations. Chioda awaken to see Flair get the pin on Cena.
