Title: Clash of the Champions Ideas
Mad Dog - September 19, 2006 09:16 PM (GMT)
So this is coming up next month. So far we have Psychosis vs. the Mexican National Champion.
Let's start thinking of some more matches.
How about a a 4 way match that features the U.S. promotions sending their tag champs out to represent?
SamoaRowe - September 19, 2006 10:20 PM (GMT)
That's a great idea because I need to give America's Most Wanted something to do (they've been kind of floundering since they dropped the tag titles).
Can I also propose an open challenge to anyone who would like to send a represenative to challenge James Gibson for the Boston Harbor Championship, assuming he is still champion?

I'll send someone to challenge Gibson.

Sweet :) Gibson will be accepting up to three challengers, so if M-A or Mexico wants in on this too, let me know.

Ten Man Scramble match:

SamoaRowe - October 16, 2006 08:17 PM (GMT)
Okay, so the show has been pushed back to the 29th so that we have time to discuss it properly.
I'm willing to put the show through EWR and write it, if need be, but I'm open to other ideas, etc. I'm pretty lazy, so it wouldn't break my heart if someone else wanted to take care of it.
What we need to do:
Mexico, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest need to pick a tag team for the four way match.
Midwest needs one more rep for the battle royal.
Mid-Atlantic needs to select five reps for the battle royal.
Midwest has chosen a rep to challenge James Gibson for the Boston Harbor Championship. If Mid-Atlantic or Mexico would like to send a challenger as well, to make it a triple threat or fatal four-way, you are more than welcome to, but don't feel like you have to.
There is room for up to two more matches. It would be great if those spots could go to the Mid-Atlantic Championship and the Midwest Championship, so that all the champions were on the show, but again, that's up to you guys.
The sooner we have the final card, the sooner we can start polling on who should win the Battle royal, NWA title match, and tag team four-way.
prof_plague - October 17, 2006 12:20 AM (GMT)
I actually just replied to this in the other thread before reading this.
I'm actually sending Precious Lucy to represent Les Bohèmiens in place of Gene Snitsky.

| This just in! UltimateWarrior.com has released a press statement stating that the Ultimate Warrior wants to challenge for Gibson's for the Boston Harbor Championship! |
(Somewhere at UNH, Prof. Plague is laughing in delight at his stupid decision.)

NEW.com had this on earlier.
When asked about Warrior's desire to challenge for the Boston Harbor belt, James Gibson had this to say.
Gibson: It will be a cold day in hell when I put this title on the line against a washed up piece of scum like the Warrior. Who the hell does he think he is! I am only accepting challenges from the very best in this sport today, not from someone who thought he was the best 16 years ago. I'm going to be defending against Homicide and Jay Lethal at the Clash of the Champions, and if anyone from Mexico is feeling brave enough to take me on, I damn well welcome it! But Warrior, you gotta stay home in your wheel chair, don't even think of crossing paths with me. I'm the best wrestler in the world, and I'm the best title holder in this sport, and I'm gonna prove to all you haters at the Clash of the Champions! |
Mad Dog - October 19, 2006 01:48 AM (GMT)
Throw L.A. Par-K and La Parka II in as my rep for the tag team match.
Big F'N Swigg - October 19, 2006 02:05 AM (GMT)
Throw in the British Invasion for my tag team

There's currently eight, and there can be up to nine, so feel free to add a Midwest title match if you would like to.
Big F'N Swigg - October 19, 2006 02:49 AM (GMT)
Okay, I'll add a Midwest Title Match:
Benoit vs. the Winner of the 4 way match at Vendetta
Mad Dog - October 23, 2006 04:28 PM (GMT)
Ok, so who wants to sim this bad boy?
SamoaRowe - October 23, 2006 04:56 PM (GMT)
I'm willing to do it, but if anyone else wants to, I'm okay with it.
SamoaRowe - October 25, 2006 05:44 PM (GMT)
Okay, since no one else has shown interest in doing this, I guess I will.
What I need from you guys:
I need match descriptions, especially for the Mexican wrestlers whom I'm not too familiar with. They don't have to be long or fance, see the original Great American Bash ppv that Jamie did back in the summer as a reference.
I'll write up Jericho/Mysterio, and Gibson/Lethal/Homicide. I can probably take care of the four way tag match too.
If Swiggy could do his Benoit title defense (and PM me who the challenger is going to be) that would be great.
Mad Dog, if you could do your Psicosis/Juventud match, and maybe even help me out with Hijo/Rock since I'm not familiar with El Hijo Del Santo, that would be awesome. Also, if you want to do the battle royal, that would be cool, but otherwise I don't mind doing it.
Plague, I was wondering if you could do your four way for the M-A title, and maybe even the PTL/Les Bohemians match, I would appreciate it.
So basically, if you guys could PM me that stuff, it would be awesome. If not, don't worry about it, and I'll do the best I can without it.
The things I definitly need are votes for the outcomes of the interpromotional matches. In the case of a tie, the match will go to a draw.
NWA World Championship:
The Rock or El Hijo Del Santo
Four way tag:
British Invasion vs. Dudley Boyz vs. AJ Styles and Chris Daniels vs. La Parkas
Battle Royal:
For this one, just send me the five guys you most want to win. I'll give them points, and hopefully a winner will emerge. Otherwise, I'll probably have to just choose a logical winner.
Sound alright? If you disagree, please speak up or PM me.

No, we decided to hold off on crowning NWA Tag Team Champions since we haven't gotten a handle on having a touring NWA World Champion yet.
Mad Dog - October 26, 2006 04:29 PM (GMT)
I'll PM you probably this evening with details on Santo Rowe. I'm going to try to go really indepth for you.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I'm not going to be home again until much later tonight, but I plan on writing my Resistance ppv tomorrow, and the Clash on Sunday morning.
SamoaRowe - October 27, 2006 10:00 PM (GMT)
My thanks go out to Mad Dog for sending me details on Santo.
I'm planning on writing the Clash on Sunday, so if the rest of you are going to send me anything, I'll need it by tomorrow night. I can get by without it, I just would appreciate a hand B)
In the very least, send your votes for who wins the battle royal (pick your top five), four-way tag match, and NWA title match. Otherwise, I'll probably have to decide who wins each match, and I don't think that's quite fair. Also let me know who's actually winning your own territory matches, I don't think I should decide who the M-A, Mexico, and Midwest champs are.
Mad Dog - October 28, 2006 01:01 AM (GMT)
I'll write up the Mexican National Title Match for you tomorrow or later tonight depending. I have some other writings to do tonight first though. I'll send my votes along for you as well.
SamoaRowe - October 28, 2006 02:48 AM (GMT)
Thanks, MD.
I can really use the help, especially since I'm supposed to have an NEW pay-per-view on tonight, tomorrow is Saturday Night, and Sunday is the Clash.
Big F'N Swigg - October 28, 2006 03:20 AM (GMT)
Yeah, this is one hell of a busy weekend, DWB NWA wise
SamoaRowe - October 29, 2006 02:25 PM (GMT)
Okay, today is the date of the show, so I'm going to try and write the Clash. I only got complete votes from Plague, so if you guys could try and get to me about this within the next hour or two, that would just be swell.
SamoaRowe - October 29, 2006 03:22 PM (GMT)
Nevermind, I'm not going to be able to do the show today afterall, the computer room got hijacked and i need to head out in a bit.
Tomorrow though, I promise :P

EDIT:
I guess I'll have to redo the show then. And who is going to take Orton's place in the battle royal?
SamoaRowe - November 1, 2006 12:52 AM (GMT)
Okay, I'm just going to assign another M-A guy to the battle royal. How does Scotty 2 Hotty sound?
