Title: Will He Be A HoFer?
Description: Edge

The debate about John Cena was pretty good, but how will Edge fair?
Edge is our current WWE champion and a former WWE champion. He's a former 10-time tag team champion, 5-time Intercontinental champion, 2001 King of the Ring, and winner of the 2005 Money in the Bank. He's been part of innovative matches such as TLC and Money in the Bank. He's acheived status as an accomplished tag team wrestler, but has also become popular as a singles wrestler.
Will Edge be a HoFer?

Not in the Triple H era. He'll never get a true crack at the top heel position, as far as I'm conerned. And when Triple H isn't the top heel, than that means someone else is playing heel to Triple H's elevated face, and I don't see that being Edge. Anyway you cut it up, Triple H will always be above Edge, and I just don't see Hall of Fame written all over anyone from this era, other than the King of Kings himself.

Edge has quietly carved out a legacy of being innovative in cage/ladder/tlc matches. I think history will be good to him.

No, he would have to jump ship to TNA or go over to Japan and have a huge run. He just hasn't gotten the chance in the WWE because of politics.

Are we talking about future DWB hall of famers or future WWE/WON HOFers? Because if we're talking about WWE/WON, then Edge surely will get in. If Cowboy Bob Orton and Iron Sheik gets in, so does Edge.

Not really.
Iron Sheik had much or of a cultural impact, plus he has legit credentials.
Orton is part of a wrestling family and was involved directly in one of the greatest drawing angles the WWE has ever done.
Those things alone are more important in the WON HOF stuff than anything Edge has ever done in his career up to this point.

If anything, it was a thank you from Vince McMahon for being loyal to the company, and for not breaking Hogans legs for $100,000 and jumping ship to AWA with the WWF title.

I highly doubt that. Regardless of what people would say, that story is true.......but Sheik wasn't the fucking badass of the company. They could have easily gotten the belt back the same night from Sheik if he did something stupid.

I don't know if Sheik could've pulled it off. 5 years earlier he definately could've broken Hogan in two and walked to the AWA. At that point he was going downhill fast and I think Hogan could've manhandled him with sheer brute strength if he had fair warning. Hogan wasn't any badass or anything but he wasn't the pussy that he's made out to be either.

Plus, I don't care what Sheik says.........Andre was Vince's inforcer at that point. So in other words, Sheiky would have been fucked.

Sheik like to make himself out better than is... fuck it, I can't type like he talks.
And I'm indifferent to Edge. He needs a strong title reign, which he's never had (8 2-week runs as tag, a few very short IC reigns, and the recent decent-length World Title run is all he has).
