Title: Let's make some rules!
Description: Volume 4

Big F'N Swigg - June 30, 2006 02:39 AM (GMT)
I know you guys have missed this! But it's something I've thought about...

QUOTE (TV @ Events & PPV)

::TELEVISION::

Each DWB NWA Territory starts with one television show per week.  This show is scheduled on Saturday Nights on TBS in the Early Evening Timeslot.

**Here's where the debate comes in:**
Each Territory is allowed only one more show per week, as long as it is in the graveyard time slot on a small/regional network.

A Territories show may switch networks when the original contract with TBS runs out.  If the new show starts before the TBS contract expires, then the company must buy out the TBS contract at it's own expense.
**This is something I thought we could debate.  It's not something to live or die over, though.**

::EVENTS::

A Territory is to put on One Event per month, as allowed by the game.  This must either be a small, medium or large Event, depending on the size of your company.  Individual Territories are NOT allowed to run Pay Per View events, as that is reserved for DWB NWA Supercard Events (Great American Bash, Clash of Champions, Starrcade, etc..)  It can be assumed that the Events run by the Territories would be released to DVD/VHS.

These Events are under control of the Territory Booker.  Dates for the Events CAN overlap since the DWB NWA is broken down into regions.

::PAY PER VIEW::

Pay Per View Events will be DWB NWA Supercards.  The Booking of said Events will take place under supervision of the DWB NWA Championship Committee.  PPV Cards must contain Title Matches with the DWB NWA World Champions.  There will be four PPV Supercards a year:  Great American Bash; Clash of Champions; Starrcade; and Chi-Town Rumble.

I thought the TV amendments would give us something to discuss.

Anything else to add?

jamiegeist - June 30, 2006 04:19 AM (GMT)
Yeah, TV is a point of discussion. I'm hurting for slots pretty much every week, and would love to upgrade to Primetime. Problem with that is that my Risk is 100, and the TBS Primetime slot is like 30, which won't even get you a hardcore match.

I personally don't want to do another show altogether at this point, but I would think if someone would, it would be cool. However, seeing as how we have still yet to post all of the show in the time span (Thurs-Sun) I really don't think adding a show is a good idea for most people right now.

The next thing is Supercards/PPVs. I suppose this isn't the place to announce it, but CSW will be going to PPV, possibly as soon as this month's show, Insurgency. The reasoning is simple. I went Global (as did Rowe) as of my last show. Once you're global, you can't even set events up as anything less than a PPV. So, that's that. I had my shows in the Event area up till August, so I could wait, but I'm kind of thinking "fuck it", and just going to PPV right now, since I'll have to eventually.

So, theres my first batch of thoughts on the matter.

Big F'N Swigg - June 30, 2006 04:38 AM (GMT)
That's some decent points. I didn't even think about the going global thing. Shit, I'm still at 60%. But I think that's partially due to the competing Territory

jamiegeist - June 30, 2006 04:44 AM (GMT)
Yeah, no clue at all why I skyrocketed, but it happened, and now I have to deal with it. I think it would be fair to say that once your global, you can go PPV, and maybe even move to Primetime?

Big F'N Swigg - June 30, 2006 04:46 AM (GMT)
It's a fair suggestion... Let's see what everyone else says.

It could be considered reward for a job well done

SamoaRowe - June 30, 2006 04:27 PM (GMT)
(This is the third time I'm going to try and post this, DWB is screwing up on my internet for some reason).

I agree.

prof_plague - June 30, 2006 05:08 PM (GMT)
A graveyard show sounds fine to me. It could come in handy to push feuds to be done sooner.

SamoaRowe - June 30, 2006 05:13 PM (GMT)
Another idea may be to have another TV show, but treat it like a house show (meaning in our NWA threads, post it in a house show thread and not have ratings to go along with it). This way we can have a chance to go through feuds the EWR way, yet not have the added stress of a second tv show, where stories would have to progress.

prof_plague - June 30, 2006 05:17 PM (GMT)
That's the way I'd see running a show on the local network; you only get 0.05 for a rating, and you get 100% risk. It's basically be a like a houseshow that's aired.

That way, you can do as much as a primetime show, but get more feuds done and time ot use guys you don't much of a chance to use.

Big F'N Swigg - July 5, 2006 04:24 PM (GMT)
I agree that the added show would add GREATLY to the game. It would help your feuds speed along so that you dont' have 3 straight months of similar matches at your events
