Well, right now it looks like Alien vs. Predator! Err..excuse me: "AVP"

I'm not a Transformers fan at all (quit in 6th grade and haven't missed 'em), but this insanely pisses me off. Just jealous that nobody's ever tried making a GI Joe movie.

Also, it's not a 100% guarantee that it'll see light-of-day. Watchmen had a movie site up about two years ago.

Looks like next summer should be pretty good as far as Hollywood blockbuster shit goes.

I saw on Amazon today that Voltron is getting a DVD release in September.

Whoa, whoa, whoa.... I'm assuming it's the Lions Voltron, but I'd be up for "Vehicle Team Voltron". There's also a weird six-armed version that was never seen on US TV.. but Matchbox released a toy version of it, which confused everyone.

Yeah, it's the lion version.

So Peter Cullen signed on for Optimus Prime. For those who don't know, he was the voice of Prime in the original cartoon. There's a plus for the movie. But he may look like THIS, which isn't exactly what I expected.

Tangent: Okay. So I've heard that the people behind the movie DIDN'T want mass shifting a la Soundwave and Megatron in the cartoons. But all the designs I've seen have the body panels from the vehicle modes way too chopped up, or there's more robot than proper body panels could cover. It's just a nit-picking kind of thing.

Looks more like an "Independence Day" or "Godzilla" vibe. Still not excited about it, but I'd rather watch a "big creepy aliens attack and rip stuff up" movie than one about who leads the bad guys and the Legacy of the Autobot Power Battery.

I'll add this in here... G4 just ran a bit about Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, and he says he wants to start on a GI: Joe flick after Transformers is over. Apparently he wants Mark Wahlberg as Duke.

Any GI Joe movie that would feature DUKE as the main guy...would suck.
