Okay, NWA Great American Bash, Live on PPV. Sunday, July 2nd. Anyone have a problem with that?

Will have the crowning of the NWA World Champ -- needs discussion.

Will also feature interpromotional matches, as well as the possiblity of "big matches" from individual territories depending on time, room, and circumstance.


So, we started this briefly. How can we crown an NWA World Champ on a one night card, while leaving room for other matches. Anyone?

These arent' rules. This is discussion for the first PPV.

I think it would work ok as a one night tournament with maybe a couple of matches between the semis and the final.

But we would only have 9 spaces on a show. (8 + preshow match). 7 tourney matches would leave room for only 2 other matches.

Alot of feds would be feeling snubbed, in other words.

I agree that a one night tournament might be the best idea, as alternate ideas like an Elimination Chamber have been frowned upon a bit by NWA: Japan (understandably, I might add).

I'm telling you, randomly paired 8-man tag with the winning team's members all moving on to a Fatal Four Way match for the belt...

Only takes up 2 matches, 3 if you do a battle royal or something for the 8th spot (which could be the pre-show match or something).

Give the concept a fancy name and you're off.

Would be actually a very effective method for voting purposes. As far as doing a vote on the board.

However, if the territory owners were the only ones voting on the 4 on 4 match, well....I think we can see how that would end up.

The 4 way would result in good voting, as we could have an elimination vote, followed by another, followed by another. Hmmmm. Anyone else wanna chime in?

I'll vote too, and I'm sure we can get WMD and Scrooge to vote and make it interesting...

With the limited space on the show and the limits of the game, it seems to be the only way to do it without making some of the feds seem snubbed.

Frankly I think anyone who reads the diaries, and wants to be, is permitted to be on the NWA Committee.

[serious voice]Hopefully personal allegiances will be set aside to make the best decisions for the NWA. And at least browse the diaries and their storylines if you intend on voting on anything. [/serious voice]

Oh, and I think Real F'n Show's brilliant idea of the 8 man tag followed by a Fatal Fourway is definitely the best way to go. Gives everyone a fair shot, and gives us the ability to do an elimination voting, which I think is good.

Anyone in the NWA opposed to this as the format?

What would the other matches be?

I am also in agreement of RFS's proposal.

Either interpromotional, or huge matches from different territories. Most likely a mix of both.

I can tell you there is a strong chance I would like to be involved in 2 interpromtional matches. Which would still leave up to 4 or 5 spots on the card. Plus, we need to decide how we appoint that #8 entrant into the Title situation.

So, how should the 8th participant in the Quest for the Gold (needs a name!) gonna be decided? Battle Royal of appointed candidates? Honest to goodness drawing of all other workers? WCW World War 3? Any ideas?
