Now that we're all getting our promotions going and moving to our first big Supershow, I wanted to bring up the idea of the first NWA PPV and crowning a World Champion.

Rowe and I were talking online, kicking around some ideas, the gist of which would be some of the following:

First NWA PPV: Great American Bash. Sunday, July 2 (or 9).

Main Event: NWA World Title Match: All 7 territories would send their Champion to the show to take part in a 7 man match. (Elimination Chamber? Gauntlet? Elimination?)

Show would also feature interpromotional matches, as well as matches sent by territories as a showcase of sorts. Would be a great place for big matches or blowoffs as well.

We could tag team this event and everyone could contribute, with the interpromotionals and main events being delegated to different parties.

I would be willing to create a new game, adjust everyone's stats correctly, and then run the card, so we can have match ratings, injuries, and stat adjustments that I could give to everyone. I'm into this shit, so sue me.

This is quite a long ways away, but it is good to get the details, questions, and all that flowing right now.

For starters, any ideas how we can crown a champion out of 7 competitors?

Actually, I think that the Elimination Chamber idea is a bad one. PERSONALLY, if that's how you are going to decide who gets to be the first WORLD champion...............then you can actually NOT include someone in NWA Japan.

I know they are pretty much the norm, but a tournament would be fine.............and maybe do something where a company can get 2 competitors in the match if they are winning in the ratings or whatever....yadda yadda.

Problem with tournaments, is if you do a one-nighter, it takes up your whole show. I was hoping for some kind of big match to do in the main event, so we could have an undercard as well.

I don't like the idea of territories sending their champion. You're essentially going to lose whoever you send for the duration of their title reign if the win. It should be up to the actual territories who they feel is expendable enough and who gives them a good shot at winning the title. That way territories also get a free storyline with who's going and such.

I think what we do is a 14 man tournament and the two most naturally over wrestlers signed get first round byes.

I think the traveling champion idea needs major refining. It isn't realistic to me at all that you lose the guy who has been decided the guy to carry the NWA title.

It should be a partnership with wherever it is decided he is going. You can have him for June 7 and 21, but I need him home for 14 and 28, or something to that effect. To just totally lose him is silly.

And as I mentioned, you can barely squeeze an 8 man tourney into a show, not to mention a 14 man. I'm trying to keep this realistic. If we just had one PPV event to bring all the territories together, how could we get it done?
