Title: DWB: NWA Startup Settings

jamiegeist - April 18, 2006 10:37 PM (GMT)
The official setup rules and regulations to get you started on our NWA game.

The following needs to be set up under the File Editor.

Promotions: Delete all other promotions, and create your Promotion with the name of your choice by using the NEW tab. The following setting should be applied:

Size: National
Based in: American
Money: 15,000,000
Image: 50
Large Event Announcers: N/A
Roster Splits: N/A
Risk: 100
Production: 100
Advertising: 100
Merchandising: 100
Logo: N/A
Banner: N/A
Development Territory: None
Training Camp: None

Workers: Hire your workers as specified by the draft.

Staff: The following staff need to be hired for your territory.

Adam Penucci
August Liguori
Brian Gerwitz
Charles Robinson
Craig Aaron
Dean Malenko
Dennis Brent
Gabe Sapolsky
Jerry Jarrett
Jim Mollineaux
Joey Styles
John Finnegan
Johnny Rodz
Michael Vettor
Mike Tenay
Ricky Steamboat
Simon Oldacre

Feel free to hire anyone you want for commentary purposes. Realize that this will effect your ratings for your matches, shows, and television.

Belts: Up to individual promoter.

TV Networks: Adjust TBS's Production Levels to 100. Adjust TBS's Risk level to 100 for the Early Evening Slot.

Television: Create TV show using NEW tab. Settings should be as follows:

Name: Up to you.
Federation: Your Fed.
Day: Saturday
Network: TBS
Time Slot: Early Evening
Announcer: Up to You.
Color: Up to you.

If all details are set up correctly, begin a new game with your company. Enter you name, and put the setting on Easy.

Once your database is created, click on your company name, and check all of your stats to make sure they translated correctly from earlier. And then click on Sponsors. Sign the following sponsors: Playboy, Perfect 10, Penthouse, and Highspots.com

Sure, they suck, but our morality is in the tank thanks to our high risk. :)

Events may be set up at the discretion of the territory-owner, but I believe the original rules called for one "big show" per month. Not sure what a big show is. A "Large Event"? This needs to be discussed. Either way, it is up to the owner of the individual territory.

This should be everything we need to get an equal startup, although we do still need to discuss Committee meetings, Big Events, and proper posting details for shows.

These details start everyone off on a level playing field, and will add a nice level of competition for our individual shows and matches. All of the intangibles that go into match, tv, and nielson ratings are now equal. The only thing left is the roster you drafted, and the way you book them.

What about potential viewers ? 2.17 ? Come on now.

Scrooge McSuck - April 19, 2006 01:39 AM (GMT)
Shouldn't the size be "Regional", since you're only based on small territories? :D

jamiegeist - April 19, 2006 01:49 AM (GMT)
I'd say potentinal viewers is fine. I mean, we're gonna have our ratings based against each others, so it really doesn't matter how small or big it is, except versus each other.

As for your question Scrooge....I agree, but someone explained it to me that we're National, and I bought it, so I dunno.

smkelly13 - April 19, 2006 04:29 AM (GMT)
I added some staff, mostly off personal preference.

I added Super Dragon as my owner, since he's on my active roster, might as well.

Added:

AA
Danny Davis
Dr. Hae-Dong Jho
Earl Hebner
Ed Schmitt
Jim Andrews
Jim Ross
Johnny Ace
Lance Storm
Lloyd Youngblood

jamiegeist - April 19, 2006 04:45 AM (GMT)
All staff I take it?

prof_plague - April 19, 2006 04:54 AM (GMT)
But I've already hired staff. :( Why do I need trainers anyhow? I don't plan on having a development, at least not right now.

jamiegeist - April 19, 2006 04:57 AM (GMT)
No development for me either. If ya'll have staff, its cool. Go with it. I'm more concerned in my anal retentiveness with the Prod Values, and all that being equal.

What kind of staff do you have? People like AA, Jim Ross, wouldnt sign with me

prof_plague - April 19, 2006 05:01 AM (GMT)
What did everyone set their game difficulty to?

jamiegeist - April 19, 2006 05:02 AM (GMT)
Game setting should be easy, as detailed above.

I like his better. Where were you on that one, Rowe.

smkelly13 - April 19, 2006 04:18 PM (GMT)
I hired them before I started the game, so they wouldn't have a choice to say no. I tried starting a game, then hiring. Some of my talent wouldn't sign :( So, I had to cheat a little.

Where was I on that one? A lot of those staff members have over 90 in talent and won't agree to work for anything less than a global fed. That's where I was.
